Chapter 7 - Chapter 6 - Kang Lei (Xi WuXain)

Kang Lei rushed up the steps of Mozing Culinary imperial university, he was in his third year and now a senior student with a Seven-year-old alpha son named BoJing Lei. He was late for the first time after dropping his son off to school and had unfortunately encountered Beijing city unusual traffic near his university.

Kang Lei is a diligent student and over the three years he had been in university had never been late to class, he was determined to succeed not only for his son but for himself.

After going through various struggles and his still struggling today his only rare of hope and his true reason for perseverance is BoJing Lei. Though he wasn't made from love he was made of him and that was enough, if ever the day came where he had to tell his son his the horrible truth he wouldn't know where to begin, it's a burden and past he felt should never be revealed.

Kang Lei previously who was known as Xi WuXain bust through the doors of his food hygiene seminar, bowing repeatedly and apologizing to his professor.

"So...rry, pro...fess or…" he stated trying to catch his breath "I'll make up for the time lost... again am sorry" he exclaimed, feeling a hundred eyes steering daggers at him, but he didn't care, these people weren't important, all that was important was that the professor wasn't annoyed enough that he disrupted the class and kicked him out.

Take a seat quickly, Mr Lei, please ensure you're on time tomorrow" the class professor stated in a clam and relaxed tone, he knew Kang Lei wouldn't be late maliciously and wasn't going to make a big deal out of such a small infraction.

Kang Lei, who had purposely isolated himself from his other peers and had made the conscious decision not to make friends or be ovally acquainted with others, went and sat at his usual seat closest to the door and alone, he greeted no one and no one intended to do so in return. He was what you would call an outcast, it's well known on campus he's an unclaimed omega with a child and that was enough to repel any unwanted attention, which suited him just fine.

His life has been one of trials and tribulations after another, always an obstacle to overcome, and without the blessing of BoJing he didn't know how he would have mentally coped with such a life, though it was hard being a single father it was made further difficult being a poor one.

Appearance wise Kang Lei, wouldn't be described as the most beautiful of omegas, he was slightly average at best, he had pale skin and very petite, mostly caused from skipping meals so that BoJing would have his required full three meals a day and afford other essentials. He has a sharp face and wore the ugliest of glasses imaginable, but his baby blue eyes and ink black hair was always attracting unwanted attention from overzealous Alphas who thought he was an easy target. Having grown up on the streets from the age of fifteen, he had learnt a thing or two about keeping ones self out of danger.

As he was settling down to listen to his professor remainder of the class, he heard his name being called.

"Kang Lei, as you were late to my class today, as punishment and for no further action to come, please tell us the answer to this question" The professor stated while looking at him directly.

Kang Lei stood up amongst his peers as is accustomed and awaited his professor's question.

"What is the 6 conditions required for bacteria to grow on foods?" he asked knowingly.

Very few among his peers, in the past three years have ever heard Kang Lie spoke and though he appeared timid and shy, he was still confident and bright. Those who had tried to take advantage of his outward appearance, have been left shocked by his boldness and indifference towards them, when they had wrongly assumed he would easily submit to them.

"The six conditions bacteria needs to grown according to food safety standards are, the need of a source of food, an acidic environment above pH 4.6, a temperature between 41 degrees and 140 Fahrenheit, 4 hours time, different oxygen requiring environments and moisture, the use of the acronym F-A-T-T-O-M, can best be used when recalling this Analogy" Kang Lei stated clearly and accurately without missing a beat.

"Well done Mr Lei, you're forgiven for your earlier infraction, you can take your seat" his professors said proudly whilst giving him a smile and slightly nod with respect.
