"Did I hear someone complimenting me?"
He tried to pull off his usual teasing remarks with her but the only difference this time was that neither did he had the same zeal and nor did she have the same horrified reaction he was looking forward to.
"You did," She blinked at him lazily.
She couldn't tell why she was suddenly sleepy now that he was near otherwise she had been just bundled up in the covers squirming here and there. Maybe it was too late that's why.
"Don't…" He looked away, taking the clothes from her hands and closed off the trunk with a thud.
"Don't what?" She stared at the back of his head now that he was turned away.
"Look at me like that." He blurted out immediately and then bit his lip, regretting.
Claudia wiggled her eyebrows together at his odd behavior. Indeed it was something out of the blue for her to compliment him but why was he telling her to not look at him and like what?
