The Queen-mother was observing the girl standing before her who had no hint of fear in her doe eyes. She was indeed beautiful and graceful as well just like a princess but that attitude didn't suit her for the title she owned; a prisoner.
"She is very new here, Your Highness. She doesn't know the etiquette." The maid-in-charge tried to rescue the naive girl but the Queen stopped her with the gesture of her hand.
"If she hasn't learned the ethics of the Palace yet then how dare you bring her here in front of me?" She said, glaring at Gulzar.
On one side there was the Queen standing and on the other side there was the Royal wife. She couldn't tell that it was done upon the order of the Royal wife and staying quiet before the Queen wasn't an option as well. In both situations, the cost was her head. With death looming right before her eyes, she started stuttering, unable to form a cohesive sentence.
