"For that," Master Enoch started, "To kill Vadon, all you have to do is fight."
"Oh." I nodded as if I understood, before I shook my head at his words. "No I don't get it."
"You will, soon." He said. I wanted to believe him but it was just too hard to not get it. We need a plan, a strategy. "I want to inform you all, since you're just six of them together, there'll be a situation assessment everyday."
I really am here, there is no turning back anymore.
"Master Enoch, will we be training during the day only?" Judah asked, recieving a yes from him.
"But today, I want you all to know everything that happened till now."
When I say I was waiting for this moment, I wasn't lying. I wanted to know everything, for, my father refused to explain.
"Two years ago, Vadon brought his troop and attacked all the capitals."
Whoa, whoa, hold up. Two years ago? Unbelievable. Two years and no one came to know outside the capital.
I clenched my sweaty fists.
"This was a war." There was something dark about Master Enoch and the way he spoke. Was it the shadow that casted over his eyes when he always dropped his smile? "No, let me change that. This is war."
I couldn't tell, but the other five of them weren't too happy with this topic. And it was confirmed when Ronan spoke up.
"Master," Ronan slowly stood up. "I wish to not speak any further today. I want to take my leave."
"Yes, I request to take my leave too."
No, I didn't stand up with the others. The five of them stood in silence until Master Enoch gave them a nod of approval. They left, but I held my place.
"Why are you still here, Quinn?" He offered me his smile.
"I want to know what happened." I told him firmly. Yes I want to know, I want to know why my sister's life is being threatened by someone from other clan. I want to know why we're at war with the most powerful clan.
"There wasn't anything I was about to explain today. I just wanted to explain the clans and the lost warriors. You can leave, Quinn."
He turned around, ready to leave.
"I want to know that too." What was the big deal? Everyone else knew, didn't they? "I don't want to be kept in the dark anymore."
Master Enoch agreed to explain. But he started from the very beginning. I wasn't keen on knowing that, but since I hadn't ever been to any place that'd explain the abilities and skills of clans and members, I was glad Master Enoch was more than happy to tell me.
"What do you want to know, Quinn? Is it the enemy, or about yourself?"
I frowned. "The enemy, of course."
Master Enoch sat down. "The Auris clan, you say?"
"Yes."
I did not know what had gotten in me. I was curious, and I wanted answers.
"Considering the Yin-Yang theory, The Auris clan falls in the hands of Yang, power driven by pureness of mind." I raised my eyebrows. That's really contradicting to their acts. Unbelievable. "Just like how Mora Clan is the only one who can obtain total control over their own souls and other's, Auris clan deals with nature's Spirits."
Wait, I have heard about this before.
I knew Mora Clan comes from the background to be able to see souls and anything related to souls, and that's the same way with Auris Clan but with the spirits?
Necos clan's abilities are limited only to the body. Meaning, they can neither harm the spirit or soul of the body. But doesn't that mean the Necos have the upper hand here since they can damage the body? And isn't a soul or spirit without a physical body is useless?
The Scaldris Clan can reach a body's mind, emotionally and mentally. That's as scary as it sounds to make a perosn go insane.
To make it simple,
YANG:
Auris- deals with anything related to Spirit
Scaldris- deals with anything related to Mind
YIN:
Mora- deals with anything related to Souls
Necos- deals with anything related to Body
"But all the clans have evolved." Master Enoch's words brought me back from my thoughts. "There is no guarantee that their abilities are limited. A Spirit power user can also damage a body, mind and soul."
Maybe I was wrong. "What do you mean?"
"A mind user can probably play with your mind as well as use their own mind to develop more abilities of their own, to hurt you physically. Of course, honing can't ever be stopped."
"Does Auris clan exceed in this?"
Master Enoch held his hand out, gesturing to something in between his thumb and pointer finger. "Auris clan used spirit stones to grow and derive energy from these. This is usually what spirit users use. But Vadon, he used his own energy to reach where he is now."
But none of these answered my questions.
"Does that-"
"It's time for dinner, we'll talk about this next time, yeah?" Master Enoch looked at a clock I didn't even notice was on the wall. "Might as well dismiss the assessment, what do you say?"
"Ah.." I nodded. "Yes, thank you for your cooperation and time."
He stood up, straightening his robe before he gave me a nod one last time and left the room.
I got to know some pretty cool stuff today, that I was never exposed to before. With this, maybe I can understand what everyone believes in?
I wonder, do others know about all of this already? Maybe they do. They're nobles, after all. Apart from Wallace.
It never mattered to me what happened in the capitals or with the nobles until now. I just knew that my father had been working for the nobles in capital which I resented it till now, and I won't stop.
Is it for nobles like these that father left his family behind for?
