During the Second World War, a Japanese boy named [青山 藤田] Aoyama Fujita, who was about 5 or 6 years old at the time. His sister, [青山 平野] Aoyama Hirano, who was 2 years younger than him. They were playing at their grandmother's home when their father took Fujita to Hiroshima while Hirano stayed at Hokkaido. When they heard the news about the Hiroshima bomb, Hirano was devastated that her brother is no longer alive, and lost hope.
30 years later, as Hirano was about to go to her job interview, she saw a TV news report about the survivors of the Hiroshima bomb, her hopes immediately went up as after she finishes her interview, she is to find her brother.
After 3 decades, she was hopeless that her brother may already be dead. She heads to Tokyo almost immediately after her interview and went to a library there. She was hoping that she could find some articles about her missing brother. In some articles, she found some about her father, [青山 緋村] Aoyama Himura. He was found dead with a bag beside him, a child about 5 or 6 years of age, the face was unrecognizable, as Himura was trying to protect him. Hirano cried and once more, losing hope.
A few days passed by, she got a text saying that she passed the interview and will be working with them the next day. Her expression was blank, and yet, she couldn't fell anything. She slept that night while crying.
When she was at work, her senior was teaching her the ropes, and the guys are ogling at both her and her senior. They were talking about how hot she is, and how big her senior's bust is. The news covered a murder case, a rich man was brutally killed alongside his family and has taken some of their possessions, and the assailant had also broken their family heirloom. A witness who caught a glimpse of the man said that she saw him wearing a mask with a smile on it.
The next portion of the news was very pleasing to Hirano. "A man named Aoyama Fujita, who is separated from his sister, Aoyama Hirano, for 3 decades, had been found living in Hiroshima where his father died, who gave his life protecting Fujita" said the news caster showing pictures of a post in a social website. Fujita was looking for his younger sister for the past 3 decades.
Hirano's senior told her to go and reunite with his brother, and she went. As she goes to the post, she commented on it and wrote "We've been looking for you, mom and I. grandma died telling herself that if she didn't let you go with dad, you would've been alive"
They started chatting online about when they should meet. "How about this Saturday?" Fujita typed, she agreed to him almost immediately.
That Saturday, she didn't have work and so was able to go meet Fujita, but Fujita, however is not available due to his job. Aoyama Fujita is currently working as an game developer and has been like that ever since his foster mother adopted him he was later renamed as [山崎 藤田] Yamazaki Fujita, the next head of the Yamazaki group of companies. Fujita texted her about how he couldn't come to the place, she texted back saying that she'll reschedule their meet up the next week.
Hirano was back at work, still with the same atmosphere, his male co-workers talking about how hot she is, how big her bust is, and how many guys would bang if they got in a relationship with her. Her senior of course had enough of them and scolded them big time, she snickered as she was looking at their sad and disappointed faces.
Nights went by like minutes, it was Saturday again, more news of the masked man was reported, more murder files coming around, and a new addition to the case is that the same mask was seen in Hiroshima two decades ago, killing the Yamazaki family head, who is also Fujita's foster father.
Fujita and Hirano met on a café near a train station, Fujita just came from work and so, his work bag was with him. They started to talk about what happened.
The night before the Hiroshima bomb, Himura had an intuitive thought, there was one bomb that almost wiped off a whole prefecture off the map, and they might do that again, and so, at the borders of Hiroshima, Himura abandoned Fujita while he was sleeping and told his good friend, [山崎 保田] Yamazaki Yasuda, to be Fujita's foster father if ever he passes away when another bomb comes. At the time, the Yamazaki family was creating games for the public to play, they started their video game company about 15 years later after Himura was declared dead.
Hirano cried in Fujita's arms as she hears the rest of the story.
When they saw the bomb come down, Himura was cleaning up a corpse set on fire by the villagers, assuming that he was possessed by the devil telling them that a second bomb will be dropped in Hiroshima. The bomb went off and Himura was almost at the border when it happened, taking him as casualty.
Hirano's loud cries were heard inside the café, Fujita tried to calm her down as he tries to be calm and collected as tears went down his cheeks. He managed to calm himself and Hirano down after a bit, and to lighten the mood, they talked about Hirano's workplace experiences which agitated Fujita a bit and as they laughed, they ordered a few drinks and after a couple hours, they said their goodbyes and parted.
As Fujita was going home, he came across an alley where a man was raping a woman. The man stopped for a bit and pulled out a pocket knife while his dick was still inside the woman. Fujita tried to tell the guy to pull his dick out and stab him, but the man stayed put. "You're both getting hurt if you don't" Fujita said as he got closer to the two of them, the woman was crying, telling him to pull out and leave her be, but the man was persistent, he didn't pull out, and the night ended.
A few days later, a news about a man with a white face, red hair, and a slit at the left side of his mouth was reported for killing a man in an alley near the train station Hirano was. A couple of days after that, two of Hirano's male co-workers were killed brutally by the said man. Hirano starts to think that Fujita might be behind all of this but then realized that Fujita doesn't run a Yakuza nor does he have a slit in the left part of his mouth.
The next time they met was them making a decision; Hirano moving in with Fujita with his girlfriend and work as one of Yamazaki group's accountants or not. Fujita can't move due to his girlfriend restricting him to. Hirano told him that it will be a tough decision for her because when he and his girlfriend gets married, she will be a big bother to the two of them, and eventually, they will want to start their own family and she didn't want to get in their way. "You're not living in with us, I own a few apartments near mine, the closest is the apartment right beside mine" Fujita spoke. "So you've already thought of that possibility" she mumbled "That I did, as an adult, you're conscious of bothering other people in their businesses, I get that, which is why I bought a few apartments that's closer to mine for you to choose one if you choose to move in" he said as he laughed shortly.
When she decided to move, she signed her resignation papers, and signed a contract with the Yamazaki group to work there, she was recommended by the next head, and so everyone wanted to know her skills and signed it.
A few weeks went smoothly for them and the man with a mask, and the man with a slit face was still out and running, Hirano was still on her guard.
A few days later, Fujita's girlfriend was killed. The people who witnessed her being killed told the police that she was killed by a man with a white face, red hair, and a slit on the left side of his mouth. Fujita was devastated, he wanted to propose to her in a few days because their anniversary was coming up, but then the thought vanished and he fell into despair. Hirano tried to comfort him but he won't open the door to his apartment.
A few days pass by, Hirano remembered that she has a key to enter Fujita's apartment. When she used it, she didn't find him there, but found a dirty apartment. As she was cleaning the apartment, she came across a locked closet inside his clothes closet. At that moment, she tried to recall anything significant about Fujita and remembered the key to his apartment. A smaller key was strapped onto it. "Here, have this, keep it, you can enter my apartment with this" she remembered him telling her.
A few days passed, Fujita looked better than when the news hit, and was going out of his apartment, for a change. Hirano was scared to approach him thinking that he may have lost his mind after losing his girlfriend.
Hirano was called to Fujita's office, and the situation was called "Urgent". Cold sweat went down her face as she tried to act as natural as she could. Once she's there, Fujita was sitting on his chair and a detective was sitting down as well. Hirano greeted the officer as he did the same and he invited both of them to the police station.
When they arrived at the station, there was an old man, quite unrecognizable to Hirano, but Fujita froze, the officer saw this reaction and asked the two of them to sit down.
The officer introduced who the old man is and asked about his story.
Aoyama Fujita wasn't taken, he was the one who took his father to Hiroshima, and when his father asked what they are doing there, he didn't answer, but one night, he grabbed hold of a blade and tried killing his own father, with a burned child in a sack as decoy. His father told him that whatever he is planning to do, it won't work out in the end.
The bomb dropped and it looked like his father was there almost at the border, but his father laid it there the moment he saw the bomb drop, with the burned child in its arms. His father escaped and surprisingly, it was at the opposite direction to Fujita. The Yamazaki family was close to his father and actually told them to take care of Fujita. That agreement didn't change.
As Himura was living his life in shame, not knowing how to face his family because of a failure, he escaped to Okinawa and remarried there, had kids and a job at the military under the name [忘村 山田] Wasumura Yamada.
Fujita however, killed for fun, with no reason, he killed again and again just to quench his thirst for blood, but then, his girlfriend found out what he really is and decided to kill her.
The old man told his story and left the station. "Why kill them?" he asked "Is what the old man told you not enough?" "I just don't believe that you would kill just because you felt like it"
"I killed them due to personal grudges, based on grudges, and how big the grudge is" he said and laughed maniacally
Fujita was imprisoned that day for attempted murder and Homicide. Hirano was appointed as the next head and is now studying business management.
A few years later, Fujita was released and Hirano married, who then died a little after their daughter's first birthday along with the said daughter. The old man was also present at the birthday party, his name is Wasumura Yamada, their father. She checked his background through a series of people he was with a couple years back.
Fujita was sent to death row due to the same crimes and Hirano was drove into insanity due to losing both her husband and daughter. As she stayed in her room, she opened her dresser and her eyes found a black box, she smiled and opened it. A letter was found inside it. It said "How are you? Seeing the love of your life fall in six feet under dragging your offspring with him is a shame huh? Well, your husband was not the man who you thought he is. He told you that he's been jobless for most his life, and has been working as a researcher at an institute, but the reality isn't what you expect, He is a cold-blooded killer who often used a replica of my mask, followed my steps and killed based on his feelings, if you found about this sooner, he would've killed you on the spot, but before I died, I'm leaving this to you, make use of it as you wish. Your dearest bid brother, Yamazaki Fujita" then she looked at the contents of the box, there was the bloody smile mask, a thin rubber mask that matched her face, and a razor blade with another note "Follow me or not, your choice, Fujita" it said.
She burst into tears as she laughed maniacally and slit bother her cheeks and puts the thin mask on. She went to her brother's grave and asked "Why give these to me?" while laughing then left.
While Fujita was on death row, he cursed everyone there that he will return and haunt them until they turn insane, then died from the lethal injection.
At home, she looked like she is okay, but in her room, she takes off the thin mask and takes the other mask. Fujita crawled out from the grave and said "I told you, I will haunt you all"
Hirano took his brother's old mantle from a card that was taken by the police as evidence. The said card was later turned over to the news as a public warning. "[殺人 の 抱擁] Killer's Embrace (Satsujin no Hoyo)"
