Ezekiel widened his eyes in shock. What was Vasidio doing? Why was he exposing his plan?
Just when he thought he betrayed him, Vasidio spoke, "There is no artifact here. I'm guessing it was just a lie made by whoever wanted to capture our village."
He saw some of the villagers nodding, while some whispered as they glared at him. Instead of giving them lies, he preferred to show them what the real situation was. For him, if he wished to be a true leader, he must first be truthful to them.
"You do not have to worry anymore. We can go back to our normal life, with the knights from Marcissa guarding us."
"Vasidio, what if they decide to attack us? Those armored men are already positioned in the borders!"
He shook his head at the villager, "This is only temporary. Only until the issue regarding the artifact dissipates."
Wanting to support his brother, Kristov stepped up, "He's right. We are very much willing to help you, so we sought the Queen's help-"
