Ely narrowed her eyes on him. Looking up at the horse, she said, "General… It's me, Elizabeth Berry."
The last time that the General saw the Ballad Queen was when she escaped with the previous king. He almost could not recognize her, because she looked mature and her platinum blonde hair was not long anymore.
"Your Highness-" General Lum cleared his throat as he also cleared his mind. Under Prince Kaio and Clan Leader Owen's orders, the dethroned king Maro and his lover Elizabeth were considered traitors.
If he served the prince and the clan leader, the General would immediately dispose of Ely. But, King Adam's command was different. From the start, General Lum had pledged loyalty to the destined King, and so, he decided to follow his order.
"I will take her to Leoniva Castle. We shall interrogate her," the General told his comrades.
