After the Greeks had settled in and rested, they joined the French family for dinner. Maria felt a fresh wave of relief wash over her when dinner went just as smoothly as the initial first meeting. The families learned about each other and the two Kings thoroughly enjoyed each other's company as they were both jokesters.
While Maria felt relief, Arthur felt shock. He had never seen his father get along with another King so well, and although he was an agreeable man to most, he did have a temper that liked to rear its ugly head more often than not.
It gave Arthur hope that the castle would be more enjoyable to be in while the Greek family was present. Not only that, but once he and Maria were married, they would also take over the throne, and Arthur's father and step-mother would no longer be in his hair. With him and Maria being in charge, he would be able to replace all of the servants who had wronged him and his bride, as well, and he looked forward to it.
