"Cheers," Maria said before she brought the glass up to her lips. The sweetness of the wine tingled her senses and warmed her throat.
She was glad that she had asked Julien to spend the day with her. Even with being an introvert, she had been feeling lonely this last week, and it wasn't like her lady's maids were friendly with her. In fact, she would rather be alone than deal with Claire and Lynne.
"So what have you been drawing?" Julien asked Maria in between sips.
"Mostly just what I see outside of my bedroom window. I need to go search for fun things to draw. I need a muse," Maria said with a small laugh.
"Well I would love to see what you've drawn so far. If you don't mind showing me, that is," Julien shyly said.
"I have the drawings in my room. I can show you after dinner."
Julien nodded and offered Maria a warm smile. "I would like that very much," he said before he asked, "Is drawing the most popular art form in Greece?"
