"Hi," Maria said with a hesitant smile when Julien opened the door with a confused look on his face that he quickly replaced with a warm smile when he saw who was at his door. "Are you busy today?"
"As it turns out, being a prince means I have plenty of leisure time," he said with a laugh. "Why?"
"Can we go to the market today? I mean, can you take me if you are free and want to?" she shyly asked.
"I'd love to," Julien said.
"Wonderful," Maria said. She could not help the smile that spread across her face. "Do we need to change? These dresses my maids put me in are so fancy, I don't want to stand out."
"Actually, you are perfectly dressed. France takes part in high society, so everyone dresses in their best when they leave the house. You'll stand out, but not in a bad way," Julien replied.
"What do you me--"
"Come on, let's go!" Julien interrupted as he closed his door and took fast steps down the hallway, leaving Maria behind.
