It seemed as if though no time at all passed before Arthur had made his way back to Maria's room. Maria had been so enraptured by the beauty of the changing sky that she had failed to notice that she was now sitting in complete darkness.
"Maria?" Arthur questioned as he entered the room. "Ouch!"
"Arthur?" Maria echoed as she blinked to try to adjust her eyes to the darkness. She did not even realize that she had zoned out while staring out the window. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, I just tripped. Why is it so dark in here?" he asked as he tried to make his way over to the nearest candle. He finally lit one on her nightstand and used it to go around the room to light all the other flames.
"I'm sorry, I was just watching the sunset," she replied shyly.
