Abel felt a sense of cool satisfaction wash over him as he snuck between the rocks and sparse bushes that littered the rocky terrain with Nick behind him. He did not feel satisfaction from the fact that he was sneaking around, but from the fact that he had grown so much that he no longer needed to sneak around on the First Floor. He had grown a lot ever since his close encounter with death, and he was happy with that growth.
At this time, they were currently hunting for a lone ground rat, much like how Abel had done for most of the time he had spent on the First Floor. They had encountered a few groups but Abel had been firm about his decision to avoid them. He wanted to give Nick a chance to face one of the weakest beasts on the First Floor without any interruptions from external forces.
