Seraphine doesn't even need to look again – she can already tell how infuriated Merlin really is.
To her relief, Tyke stood in between them just on time, keeping him from getting a step closer to her. She does feel bad that he has to deal with him on his own, though. Now, not only does he need to act like some human shield, but he also needs to handle this walking burst of explosive magic.
"H-How may I help you, O Great Magician?" Tyke asked with utmost respect, tensely straightening up and facing ahead.
"Come with me in my office. I want you to send a letter to His Highness," Merlin commanded, making him panic.
"B-But, Sir! I can't do that! I'm still in the middle of an errand-"
"You're a guard at his palace, right? And you're going back there, right?"
"How did you know that?"
"I was informed that a palace guard would come to take a look at one of the captives in the prisoners' chamber. I take it that it's you."
