Eric came up from the bottom of the pool with a handful of iridescent snail shells just like the one that Seraphine found earlier.
He grinned at her as he approached her. She giggled a little when he began to adorn her hair with the shells. By some sort of magic, they stayed put in there.
"There you go, milady..." Eric said with a boyish, playful smile.
"Now, you look like a mermaid."
Seraphine looks at his bright eyes and sweet smile. Seeing such a warm expression from an cold-hearted man, she feels something melt inside her. That look is the greatest thing he has ever given her.
"But you don't swim like a mermaid. All splashes and noises. You even slipped earlier. Just how clumsy can you be?" he teased with a smirk.
