Eric's once icy-cold blue orbs have become red-hot incandescent, glowing too brightly to be considered a normal person's physical feature.
Then, for as short as a fraction of a moment, Seraphine noticed something else about him. She was able to have glimpse of how sharp his teeth were. That detail makes him appear like an otherworldly creature even more.
"M-M-M-Monster..." one of his enemies stammered out tremulously, shuddering in fear.
"Monster!"
Right then, Seraphine was finally convinced no matter how hard it was to believe - Eric does seem monstrous right now.
But even though she's greatly perturbed, she still wants to make sense of what's happening. She can't believe that the person she's together with hours ago - that kind and caring gentleman whom she thinks is sent by heaven, is capable of doing something this gruesome and harrowing.
