Sky and the rest returned to their ship safely as the entire dungeon was beginning to slightly shake from them having killed the boss.
The ship left the dungeon with it closing behind them and leaving no remnants that it existed..
"I think that went better than I expected. I gotta deal with some stuff downstairs, so if you hear screaming don't worry about it." Sky said as he entered the crew's cabin and closed the door.
The crew stared at the door. Without more information they knew exactly what Sky was going to do.
"I didn't think it would be this easy to clear a purple dungeon… portal." Jay said.
"We got one of the easier ones. Some portals I have heard from my great-great-great-"
"AAAHHH!"
They heard a loud screaming of a man's voice come from the bottom of the ship that startled them. It was faint but they heard it.
Nobody said a word. They knew what Sky was doing.
Just then three slaves came rushing out the door horrified, it was the same three women who didn't betray the crew. Although they were deeply afraid they quickly got their cleaning tools and began maintaining the ship.
"I'm gonna… set the next course to another dungeon." Jericho said.
"I guess our head cook is dead so I'll prepare something for us." Jay walked down to the kitchen.
"Guess I'll just make more potions." Jules said.
After a while, Sky returned to the top of the ship. His hands were covered entirely in blood.
One of the slaves saw him and quickly ran to give him a wet towel.
"Thank you, Tiana." Sky said as he wiped his hands with the towel.
"Y-YES MASTER!" Tiana ran back to her chores. She was a bit surprised Sky knew her name but Sky used his ability to find out her name.
{Curse of death: lvl 3: Target has a 5% chance to die if their HP reaches 3% of their total HP}
"Killed all of those slaves yet they only increased my skill level to three. Hm." Sky looked at the three slaves that were still alive.
"You three!"
"AAH!" They dropped their cleaning tools out of fear and started to cry, one even fell down and couldn't get up because her legs wouldn't respond to her anymore.
"Take the day off."
They were still paralyzed with fear that they couldn't understand what he meant or said.
"Haaa… Jericho, can you lead them to the crew's quarters and tell them I give them a day off? Or until they stop acting like this." Sky knew they were just too afraid of him.
"Sure." Jericho grabbed the slaves hands and led her to the quarters, the third slave didn't want to be left alone so she immediately followed the others almost tripping numerous times.
Sky leaned on the side of his ship. No matter how many times he sees it he always enjoys the view of the beautiful ocean.
"So… I gotta wait another month until the next purple dungeon appears. Hey, wait a minute, why didn't I get the rewards for clearing the purple dungeon?"
{You did}
"No, I meant from the quest you gave me."
{The quest reward was stated as {???} but because you weren't able to complete the hidden room you didn't get the amazing rewards despite clearing the dungeon}
"I see."
{The system will sometimes guide the player to loot but just remember there is always a risk. If you weren't more prepared that could have been the end of you and your crew. You took a chance and came out on top}
"But wait, I couldn't get through that door because my stats were too low and I was missing one more member, why was that a part of the quest if you know I wouldn't meet the requirements?}
{Like I said, the system will SOMETIMES guide the player to loot}
"..." Sky.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Sky heard Jericho scream and he teleported to her location instantaneously.
"What's wrong?"
Jericho was looking at her hands, unable to believe it.
{Jericho Haydie}
{Spd: 6,892}
{Vig: 6,630}
Jericho could feel it. Both of those stats used to be in the hundreds, and after ripping both scrolls it increased it.
"Sky." Jericho wanted to cry right then and there. She knew Sky knew what both scrolls could do, yet he gave them to her and the others.
"HOLY! WHAT?!"
Beside them Jay had the same reaction.
{Jay Press}
{Vig: 22,933}
The increase in his vigor was insane to him. Never in his dreams could he feel such a rush of power enter his body. It felt as if he could take on the world.
"CAPTAIN! THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Jay couldn't help it and hugged Sky as tight as possible. Sky scoffed and patted his back twice.
SPLASH
A giant splash of water could be heard on the other side of the ship as they got sprayed with water, Jules had summoned the Megalodon which was the cause of it.
Jules was amazed. She had seen her ancestor use this ability, but never did she think she would also be able to summon it.
But then Jules wondered why would Sky give her such a great scroll instead of keeping it himself or giving it to the other crew members?
She looked back at them and realized they were looking at her dripping in salt water.
"Oh, crap! Sorry!" Jules said apologetically as she realized it was her fault.
'If I didn't know better I would say he likes me.' Jules thought.
Sky waved his hand around and collected all the water from the ship and from their clothes and hair leaving everything dry.
Jericho, who thought about changing into dry clothes just now touched her clothes and hair and it was all dry.
"Impressive." Jericho learned that by the end of the week Sky will use some rare skill in front of her so she wasn't surprised at all.
"For today let's just take a break or something from all these dungeon runs. Except you, Jules, I gave the three remaining slaves a day off to recover their frail little minds, meaning that you're in charge of cleaning the ship for now." Sky smiled brightly.
"Dammit!" Jules angrily walked to the small closet door and began mopping the ship.
"Captain, can I say something?"
"Of course you can." Sky said.
"Can we go back to where we left Katelyn at?" Jay asked sheepishly, trying to see her again.
Jericho heard him and she looked at Sky wondering what his answer would be.
"Oh, you mean Marjack."
"Yeah."
"Well it's like I don't want to, but." Sky points at Jules. "They knew about Jules, if they recognize us we'll be in a lot of trouble, and Marjack has a Caribbean post and is relatively close to their HQ."
"Right… I didn't think of that." Jay realized now it was a risk but still felt sad about it.
"But… Jericho also wants to see her family after clearing the debt. Hmm… if only we were stronger."
"Wait, so if we continue to grow stronger we can see them?" Jay asked to be sure.
"Of course!"
"Then let's sail to the next dungeon!" Jay proclaimed loudly as he ran to the front of the ship.
"Yes! Let's do that!" Jericho agreed. She really wanted to see her family again, she always calls them but seeing them would be better.
"Hahaha… sure." Sky was happy to see Jay find love.
The only one who wasn't happy was Jules…
Meanwhile…
A Caribbean ship had arrived in God's Paradise. From the ship many Caribbean officers jumped off the ship happy to be home.
The two strongest officers, Xero and Boris, disappeared from the ship and appeared in the HQ building.
Georgia was sitting at her desk drinking her morning coffee. When a strong gust of wind flew all her papers away and even blew her back slightly.
"Ah!" She fell off her chair. Looking up she saw Xero, who was her uncle, and Boris standing in front of her.
Their eyes glowed yellow.
"Georgia, did you betray us?" Boris asked.
"What? Wait what?!" Georgia stood up very angrily.
"Answer his question." Xero asked seriously with a glare in his eyes.
She was about to retaliate, but once she saw her uncle looking at her like that, she became scared and realized they were not joking.
"No! I never betrayed you guys, or anyone… except my ex who had it coming."
Boris and Xero looked at each other, she was telling the truth.
"It looks like you didn't betray us voluntarily, but I believe it was you even if you don't know it yet."
"What?" Georgia asked, confused.
Xero walked back to his office looking for something.
"Georgia, did you make any phone calls when you learned about the mermaid?" Boris asked.
"Phone calls? No, I don't recall making any phone calls that day."
Boris looked at Georgia, the skill didn't activate. It meant that Georgia wasn't sure.
This was a common thing to see, if you asked someone what they did on a certain date at a certain time, chances are they wouldn't remember unless their intelligence stat was high enough for them to develop a photographic memory.
Xero came out of his office with pieces of paper.
"Georgia, it says here you did make a call to someone far away not once but several times, and it's not a place I recognize."
"I did?" Georgia looked at her phone records. Their phone technology has been in the works for a long time, and as the most powerful force in the Land of the Dead and the Land of the Free they have access to it first before the common people did. In fact only the Caribbean had access to the phones and no one else, until they advanced further enough to share the technology.
But they know that this kind of technology could be abused, so they came up with methods to protect themselves from it being used against them, one such method is keeping track of all phone records that come from HQ.
"I don't ever recall calling someone from there. But that's my phone records." Georgia couldn't believe it.
"But just to be sure… Georgia, did you know that the mermaid was captured by the mermaids?" Boris said.
"Wow, really?"
"What are you doing, Boris?" Xero asked.
"Trust me, sir. Let's leave." They left Georgia alone.
Georgia was weirded out. Once she realized she was alone her expression changed and she picked up the phone to call someone.
"It's me. The mermaid was captured by the mermaids. That is all I know." She hung up, and as soon as she did her old expression returned before picking up the papers that fell off her desk.
"So… you really are being mind controlled."
Boris and Xero appeared behind her.
"What? I am?"
"We just saw and heard you call someone ten seconds ago."
"I DID?!" Georgia stood up, she couldn't remember that.
Even without using their skill on her it was obvious someone managed to manipulate her mind into calling a certain number when she hears important information.
Just then, Georgia's expression changed back and she reached for the phone. Boris stopped her hand from reaching it.
"What are you doing?" Boris asked.
Georgia was unresponsive and tried to reach for the phone.
They knew she was going to call the number to tell them they found out about her being controlled.
"So she's tasked to call anytime she learns something important… Boris, take her to remove that fucking spell." Xero asked, he was angry, so angry that someone used that spell on her.
Boris picked her up like a princess and she didn't even react to it, all she wanted was a phone.
"It's weird not to hear a harsh remark from you." Boris said as he took her to another place.
Xero looked at the last known location she called. Since their technology wasn't that advanced yet they couldn't trace the calls unless it was from their own bases.
"Fucking fishmen, and they that to my niece!" Xero knew it was the fishmen, why else did they attack Boris if it wasn't them.
Xero walked back to his office to cool down. There was no way he was going to find out where the call came from at the moment.
"Hmmm… they don't know we know what they did to her, so we can use this to our advantage… Wait, there's something I am forgetting… oh crap, it's around this time the purple portal will appear."
Xero wasn't panicking at the moment. Even without him issuing the order he had other high ranking officers that can search for the purple dungeon, unless someone already cleared it before them.
"I really hope we can find the purple portal and it drops a scroll, though it isn't always guaranteed." Xero left his office in a flash.
Meanwhile…
Back with the crew Sky examined the two scrolls carefully he kept for himself.
One scroll ages things by a month every minute, and the other summons a mount he has read before, bottomless sea terror.
It's a giant white, worm monster that devours everything in its path with its giant mount; it can be summoned both on land and on water but it can only move in water. Due to its immense appetite and scary appearance it has earned the name of bottomless sea terror. It isn't that good for battle as it is very slow.
What made this summon special is that it makes anyone who looks at it fill up with fear. During battle if one summons it and people aren't prepared they'll be frozen with fear, unable to move at all or think.
The only way to counter its fear effect is their mind stat was high enough to resist it.
Sky ripped both scrolls and attained its abilities.
{New skill learned}
{Age faster: lvl 1: You can hasten the aging process of something by one month per minute}
"Hmm… I know this can be used for harvesting or something like that. But I wonder if I can use it to torture others with it?" Sky wondered…
{New skill learned}
{Summon bottomless sea terror: lvl 1: Those with less than 1,000 mind stat will be filled with fear, not even the summoner is immune to its fear effect}
"Wow, scary." Sky said not expecting that it would also affect him if he isn't prepared enough.
"Captain, we have a problem!" Jay suddenly cried out.
"What?" Sky teleported out of his room. Jay pointed behind them far in the distance.
"What? Sky squinted his eyes, he could barely see a black dot.
"Those guys have been following for a while now."
Sky took out a telescope from his inventory. He could see the ship better but could barely see the people on the ship.
"I need a better telescope." Sky said.
"I see…" Jay squinted his eyes. "Someone is looking at us with a telescope, and they're preparing their weapons and even loading their cannons… Yeah, they're pirates."
Sky was amazed by Jay's insane eyesight.
"Jay, take the sniper position."
"On it." Jay climbed up high to the ship's mast.
Sky looked at the system's map.
"Hmm… the ship itself is red+ which means it might be tough, and there's barely an island around us. Perfect. Jules!"
"Yes, Master?" Jules said as she was mopping the ship.
"Summon out the Megalodon and attack that ship."
"What ship?" Jules didn't see one.
"It's somewhere over there."
"Oh… Can I also go attack them personally?"
"Hmm… no, keep your distance. But make sure you summon it underwater."
"Okay. Would you like me to kill or keep them alive?"
"Alive, if possible. And bring them to me."
"On it!" Jules jumped to the ocean to summon the Megalodon without anyone seeing it.
"Everything alright, Sky?"
Sky handed her another telescope.
"Just watch the show unfold." Sky said as he turned the ship around.
The man that was staring at Sky's ship put down his telescope.
"They're coming towards us. Hm." He chuckled.
"Did you say something, Captain?"
"No. Make sure you all remember what I told you, kill everyone on the ship except the pretty women, if they have any, and make sure not to ruin my new ship as that's the nicest ship I ever did see. Taking a closer look at it I am beginning to get hard." He gave the telescope to someone as he walked to the center of his ship.
One of the crewmembers saw something massive moving underwater and disappeared. It was so massive it scared the life out of him.
"CA-CA-K-GAH-CAP-KAT-C-C-C-K-" He was so petrified with fear he couldn't say anything.
The captain quickly walked to him and shook him by the shirt.
"Speak! What's wrong with you!"
The man, shivering and shaking, pointed to the side of the ship.
"M-m-m-Me-mc-meg-mag-ma-mam-me-"
Everyone looked at each other. They had been through many battles togethers, fought through dungeons, killed people, mermaids, villages, fishmen, but this is the first time they had seen him this afraid of something.
"SPEAK YOU IDIOT!"
"MEG-MEGALODON!"
At that moment a giant shark bigger than the ship itself broke it in two pieces as they flew high in the air. It was so sudden and unexpected and nearly everyone fell to the ground.
Two people who reacted fast were flying in the air, the Captain and his son, they were the only ones on the ship who had the flying ability.
The ship crashed on the water and giant pieces of it scattered in the ocean, it was beyond repair.
Everyone on the ship was on the water.
But then a mermaid jumps out of the water and lands on the biggest part that remained of the ship. She cleared her throat and began singing a beautiful melody.
"Aahh-haaa-aahhhh… Oooohhhhh-oh-hooooo-ohhhhhh-ooooooh…"
Her singing captured everyone's attention and everyone was instantly mesmerized by her singing.
"COVER YOUR EARS!" The Captain said to his son, they were unaffected as they were away.
Then the boat they were planning to steal from got closer to them. A man jumped from the ship and was standing on the water somehow being able to stand.
He teleported closer and looked at Jules.
"Good job, keep them like that."
Jules kept singing but her eyes widened in shock. Any man should fall under her hypnotic singing even some mermans cannot resist, but Sky was the first one she had seen to resist.
{Power of the mind activated}
{Immune to mind control}
Sky was glad this ability of his gave him immunity to a mermaid's hypnotic singing. It says it makes him immune to mind attacks but he didn't think this would be considered a mind attack.
Sky froze a large part of the ocean, freezing everyone in place.
Sky pointed to the two people flying. They suddenly felt scared and fled.
"Jules, you're stronger than those two, get them for me."
"On it." Jules stopped singing and flew to those two men.
The other men were finally released from their trance and they felt extremely cold, it was worse than those times they had to clear the cold mountain dungeon repeatedly.
Sky froze them all in place so they wouldn't resist. If he didn't react fast enough they would die.
"Don't move, please." Sky held two people at a time with his hands and binded them with his telekinesis, and said, "Hopefully this works. Ritual sacrifice."
{Activated ritual sacrifice}

{Received: 737 dex, 705 int}
Two people died as soon as the ritual sacrifice was done.
"Alright, so it does work on two people at once." Sky chuckled, this would save him some time. He looked at the other crew members and there were a total of 24, all frozen.
Sky used identify on all of them, no one had any talent, but one did drop an item.
{Tommy HIlsenburg}
{HP: 1,130/1,130}
{Mana: 155/155}
{Str: 66 Dex: 121 Spd: 88 Int: 31 Mind: 41 Vig: 103}
{Personality: Coward, compulsive liar}
{Loot drop: Red gem of the Dragonsky King}
Sky clicked the item wondering what it did.
{Red gem of the Dragonsky King}
{Able to unlock a special purple+ dungeon once used}
Without thinking Sky cracked Tommy's neck with his telekinesis.
{Received; 101 exp, 444 shells, Red gem of the Dragonsky King}
Those who could see saw Tommy's head turn a complete 180.
"Neat, I will unlock that dungeon once I am more prepared." Sky didn't plan on clearing out a purple dungeon with a + sign yet, not until they all grew stronger, especially him.
"Gotta do this fast before you all die." Sky grabbed two others and sacrificed them, attaining 70% of a random stat of theirs.
By the end all 26 crewmembers were dead.
"Ahhh, precious stat points." Sky really liked to see his stats grow.
Just then Jules returned with two people bleeding heavily and being dragged by her.
"They weren't really compliant so I had cut off their arms." Jules said as she tossed the two men on the ice.
"Perfect. Rejuvenation." Sky healed the two men before they bleed out to death.
Before they had a chance to react their bodies were being frozen and being bound by the ice and something else that they couldn't see.
"Ritual sacrifice." Sky placed both arms on their bodies. Twelve seconds later they died.
"We should find more pirates, this was fun." Sky chuckled as he said that. His stat points keep increasing drastically.
