Majestic.
That one word cannot even begin to describe the place she is in right now. She thought that by seeing the majestic garden and the luxurious receiving hall, she saw enough. It seems that her insight was not enough to predict the level of wealth the royal family has.
The grand hall was comprised of an immense central space for gathering and festivities, its floor was coated by what seems to be porcelain that is enhanced with magic. This was proven true when wine was spilled by a clumsy noble and the floor just magically 'sipped' it and made it look like nothing happened. The hall also had an upper floor with terraces surrounding the central space, these rails are, of course, covered by the rarest of materials in the kingdom.
Looking above, Cinderella's jaw almost dropped, and her eyes widened with shock. The reason being that the entirety of the ceiling is covered in diamonds. *So, the thing that is lighting the whole floor is not magic.* The whole ceiling being covered in diamonds created an artificial lighting out of its combined luster, the light it emits is of a light bluish color that appears to enhance the royal ambiance of the hall.
From the floor, the walls, the decorations, and the ceiling; everything complements one another, the artistry of it all is stating what it means to be royalty.
*This is why I hate nobility. All they do is just waste resources; all of these could have been used for the development of the kingdom.*
"This is where I take my leave, milady. I hope that you can enjoy yourself with the party."
Cinderella was so enamored by her surroundings that she forgot she was being escorted. She also did not notice the new set of gazes that were being directed at her. It would seem that even in the grandiose of the grand hall, her extraordinary brilliance still stands out. Whispers and murmurs started again, and an eerie silence despite the noise is creeping in the grand hall, with everyone's focus on the lady in blue.
Fortunately, the music changed pace and the band played a more jubilant melody for the audience. This somehow eased the tension both in the atmosphere and in Cinderella's mind. She would need to thank the conductor later. After that, everybody went back to their own worlds, conversations about jewelries and daily lifestyles, gossiping about other people, talks that are only made by those who have nothing else to do. In short, they were talks of ignorant people.
She looked around to see the current state of affairs, and it seems that the prince has not revealed himself yet. There are only nobles and merchants around, all engaged in their insignificant discussions. Cinderella walked to a spot that does not have a lot of people, that way there would be less disturbance for her as she observes and gathers information, especially on the layout of the hall.
But her plan only goes so far, a gentleman that looked like in his mid-twenties covered in shining jewelries that made it hard to look approached Cinderella.
"A pleasant evening to you milady, I am pretty sure that you know me already but do let me introduce myself. I am Baron Alexander Von Erevindin of the Eleudin Barony, Son of Garrett Von Erevindin of the Erevindin Marquisate. I believe that milady is from Yventel Duchy of the North, that is, judging by the magnificent blue of your dress that is a trademark of the nobility in that region. Thus, may I have the pleasure of knowing your name, milady?"
"I am leaving."
And Cinderella moved to another spot, leaving the dumbfounded gent frozen in place.
