The building was full of fire, and there was no escape. Everywhere was a dead-end with fire surrounding the young man. He cried out for help, but there was nobody out there. It was getting harder and harder to breathe with fire and smoke coming through.
"I was a fool. Why am I so naĂŻve?" The young man knew what led to this, but he couldn't do anything about it.
His eyes slowly closed shut since he couldn't take it anymore. The young man thought that was the last of him and that he has died.
When the young man opened his eyes again, he couldn't believe it. He touched where he thought the fire had gotten him, but there was no pain or marks.
"Young Master Yune. Are you awake?" There was a knock on his door. Yune's ears perked up when he heard that voice.
It was the voice of his butler who he thought had died while saving him. Yune looked around the room and spotted a calendar in the room and couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the date.
"Did I go back to the past?"
The door opened to his room since the butler was worried since the young master didn't answer him. Yune was lying on his bed in a daze, something the butler has never seen before.
"Is something the matter?" The butler asked.
"Sorry, I was still dreaming." Yune finally opened his mouth to speak.
Since he saw the date, Yune had time to save his family before falling into the wrong hands.
"Your breakfast will be served soon. A maid will bring it in a moment."
"Francis, could I have with everybody?" This shocked the butler since this was the first.
Yune saw the look Francis gave him, and he knew why. Yune wasn't very close to his family and didn't care much about the family affair. He distanced himself from them. Yune didn't think because of it, people would take advantage of it.
The butler left the room to prepare his food with the rest of his family members. Yune was left in his room alone.
Yune saw a mirror and stared at his own reflection. He had brown hair with bangs on the front. There was an eyepatch covering his left on while his right was visible of blue. He took the eyepatch out, and his right eyes were shown of golden.
In his previous life, Yune hated his eyes to the point he hides one of them away. He was the only one in his family that had Heterochromia eyes. It was because the way that the people talked about it that made him feel depressed over it.
He stared at himself for a while.
"This is me, and it won't change."
Yune realizes as he was searching through his books that his birthday was coming up. That birthday was one that he couldn't forget. His family threw it for him, hoping that things would be better for him, but there were people there that made it a mess. They spoke to him and hurt him, telling him lies, and because Yune was naĂŻve, he believed them.
Yune changed his clothes to ones for outside. A simple green shirt and a black jacket over it with blue jeans. He looked like any typical teenager.
He walked down the hall and saw the stares. Yune couldn't forget that he hardly went outside of his room besides actual events. He was a shut-in in his previous life.
The workers in the mansion weren't surprised that he got out but the way Yune looked without his eyepatch.
Yune had thought that maybe they gave him bad looks, but that wasn't the case. Yune should have done that earlier in his previous life, but he was too busy believing in others.
Yune made up his mind and wasn't going to be the weak guy that everybody could push around anymore.
He took a deep breath when he arrived at the door of the dining room. It has been far too long that he has come here.
Yune turned the knob handle and entered the room. Everybody was already there seated. His parents and his older brothers turned to look at him.
They were surprised as everybody in the mansion was. Yune wasn't wearing the black eyepatch. His mother, who looked like Yune more than his father, looked as if he was going to cry.
Yune sat down at the empty that seat that was prepared for him.
"I have something to say," Yune said.
Everybody perked up and looked at the young man. They never expected something like this.
"From now on, I want to have breakfast and dinner with everybody and not distance myself."
"My Yune." The mother cried out.
"And I'm sorry for the way I have acted before."
"My baby boy has grown up." The mother had torn down her cheeks.
"Mother!" Yune looked surprised to see her cry.
Everybody smiled at Yune and was happy about the change.
"And father, I want to go back to school."
"School?" The father looked worried, and Yune could tell why.
Yune was bullied and was weak and couldn't do anything.
They all looked worried.
"I don't think you should go to school yet." The brother with blue eyes and silver hair looked the spitting image of their father spoke up.
"Older brother, I can't always be staying home all the time," Yune said, looking determined.
"Let him go." The other older brother with silver hair and golden eyes said. "It looks like he wants to."
"Then Ray." The father looked at Ray, the oldest and first, that spoke. "Drop him off tomorrow."
"Yes, Father."
"Raon can pick him up after since your done work at that time."
"Of course, father."
"I can go on my own," Yune said, but from the looks they gave him, he didn't have a choice in the matter.
__________
Lumi Adage and Leon Adage were in the living room. They were thinking about their youngest son. They never thought that something like this would happen. The change was so sudden but made them happy.
"I'm still worried about him going to school," Lumi said.
"I am as well, but he looked so determined to go."
"Leon, his magic hasn't even appeared yet, and he's almost eighteen."
"Don't worry, dear. I will get somebody to watch out for yune while at school."
"Mom, Dad, I'm heading out." The oldest son said as he walked through the living room.
"Is it a meeting?" Leon asked.
"Something of the sort."
Ray was out the door was about to get in his car when he saw his little brother. Yune was talking to one of the men that work for him.
"Yune, what's going on?" Ray walked to his little brother.
"The young master said he wants to go out, but right now, I'm busy with some tasks."
"You want to go out." Ray kept getting surprised by Yune.
"There something where I want to go," Yune said.
Yune didn't think that he would end up seeing his brother. It would be hard to explain things.
"I just wanted to go see my friends."
"Oh, friends. I see." Ray didn't think much of it. "I can drop you off wherever you want.
"Really?"
"Yes. I have a meeting, so I'll pick you up after I'm done."
"That would be great." Yune smiled.
Ray was happy to see a smile on Yune's face since he has never seen it.
So Yune got into the car with Ray.
"About going to school," Ray said.
"What is it, brother?"
"If anything happens, you let us know."
"Yes, I know."
"We're almost here. Keep your phone with you all time."
"Yes, I know."
Ray didn't know why he was meeting his friends at the library. They could have met at the mall or even come to their own place since they have a vast library.
Ray left after dropping his little brother off. He arrived at a huge building. It was the place he worked, but he wasn't working today. Ray had other things to deal with that had to do with work.
He entered the building, went to the meeting room, and saw his friends working with him were already there.
Ray sat down since he was the head of the company.
"Shall we begin."
The meeting was about the project as well as dealing with some rats.
"Jack, did you find anything out?" Ray asked.
"I found out that some of our investors have gone missing."
"What?"
"Elric, do you have any ideas?"
"Not now, but I may have some in three days."
"I will ask Raon to look into the company too."
"That's right, your brother has the power to see through things," Jack said.
"By the way, Ray, why were you late today?"
"That's right, you were a little later than usual," Elric said.
"I had to drop my younger brother off somewhere."
"I thought Reon knew how to drive." Jack looked confused.
"My other brother."
"The brother that never leaves his room," Elric said.
"Yes. Somehow he started acting strange, and now he's doing things."
"You dropped him off."
"Yea. Yune said he wanted to meet his friend." Ray said.
"Ray, you said your brother never leaves his room or the house, right."
"Yea, what about it, Jack."
"Does your brother even have friends,"
Ray realizes what Jack said was true. He didn't think much about so where was his brother doing.
The older brother quickly opened his phone and dialed his brother's number in a hurry.
Yune, on the other, had just finished his tasks when his brother called. He was glad he finished things on time.
"Brother Ray," Yune spoke.
"Yune, what do you meet up with friends when you don't have any?" What his brother said was true, but it still hit him hard. It was like an arrow was stab into him.
"What are you saying, brother? Of course, I have friends."
"Don't lie to m, you brat!
Yune had to come up with something else.
"Sorry for lying, but I didn't want you to worry."
"Anyway, I'm coming to pick you up?"
Yune sat there, and across from him was a stranger, but this person could help him.
"I don't know why a person like you is looking for something like that."
"You don't need to know, old man."
Yune got up from his seat and walked out of the library. He stood there waiting for his older brother, who was probably mad that he lied. Yune could have told his brother he wanted to go to the library to read, but it made no sense since they have a library at home.
As he was waiting, Yune heard a cry for help. Yune wanted to ignore and not get involved, but he couldn't help it. The young man went in the direction of the voice. A young lady was getting dragged, and she didn't like it.
Seeing the scene made Yune angry. It looks like he was about slap the girl, but Yune stepped in and stopped it before that could happen.
"Who the hell are you, bastard! The guy yelled in rage.
"You shouldn't do this. She doesn't like it."
"That is none of your business!" The man yelled. He was about to hit Yune but lifted his fingers, and ice froze the man's hand in place.
The man yelled as he got frozen and couldn't move.
"Yune." The young man heard Ray's voice.
Ray looked surprised but was glad Yune was safe.
Ray then glared at the man who dare almost lay a finger at Yune.
"Are you okay?" Yune asked the girl.
"Thank you for saving me." She smiled.
Yune helped the girl up.
"Thank you so much." She said before departing.
"Yune, I have questions for you, but I think we need a family meeting for that."
---------------------
When they got home, Ray called everybody in the living room for a family meeting.
"What's this about?" Raon asked.
They usually never have a meeting like this.
"It's about Yune. He can use magic."
In Yune's previous life, he had powers but never used them because of what people would say, but this time he wasn't afraid to use them.
"Yune, is that true?" Leon asked.
"Yes.' Yune said.
"Yune has ice magic."
"Brother, that's not the only magic I can use."
"What do you mean?"
Yune lifted his hand a fire appeared.
"So he inherited Lumi's and mine powers."
"I thought the priest said that he had no powers." Raon was confused.
"The priest told me to hide it since nobody would like it and everybody would hate me."
"What did he say!" Leon was angry.
The priest was not a good person. He was one of the men that made his life horrible.
"But I have a hard time controlling my fire magic."
"It's okay," Raon said. "I will teach you how to use it."
"Raon, you can't do that since you have your own work," Ray said.
"I guess we will hire a fire magic teacher," Lumi said.
"I could always learn at school," Yune said.
The family was deciding what is the best choice for Yune without hearing him out.
Yune wondered if his family was always like this.
