Shiro sat up at once, being forced awake by his dream. He clearly remembered what he saw and how he felt. Those feelings were so vivid, and felt so real, he broke out in a cold sweat, a chill running down his spine.
Just then, the door of his room flung open, and Tomoki showed up. "Son, I heard a shout. Is everything fine?" He noticed his son sitting up on his bed instead of sleeping, and he was fully covered in sweat.
"My goodness, Shiro, you okay?" Tomoki walked up to his son, and handed him a glass of water, which was kept on the bedside table.
Shiro took the glass from his father's hands, and drank it all up. Only after that, his erratic heartbeat reverted back to normal.
"Are you fine now?" Tomoki asked once again.
"Yeah, Dad. I'm okay, that I am," Shiro nodded his head lightly, which made his father feel a bit reassured.
"Since you are reverted back to your usual formal tone, I am sure you are fine now. But… What happened, anyway?"
