Samuel was immediately filled with the guilt he hardly managed to get over with. The piercing gaze of the little girl eleven years younger than him was sharp enough to resurface the mental torment he went through two years ago, or maybe still getting tormented by it.
But soon that gaze was replaced into normal. Airi calmly asked her teacher, "Is it okay if we talk about this in front of him?" she pointed at Carter. "He was the one who helped me find you, otherwise I might be still searching for you madly."
Samuel just nodded his head in agreement.
"Then Carter, ya' don't needta' feel on edge, fidgetin' there. Ease out, but just… don't interrupt us, and keep listening," Airi looked at Carter, assuring him.
