Carter seemed to flinch a bit, but soon he composed himself. "Yah, I guess since that day, right?"
Airi nodded back in response. "Come to think of it, a whole two years went by, just like that, gash that's weird now that I look at it."
"Mm-hmm, sure that is," a faint smile flashed on his face, and her eyes didn't miss that.
"So, whatcha up to these days? Guess you're supposta' be a uni freshman, right?" she decided to ask something casual, to ease off the stiffness in between them.
"Yep, I'm now one, actually. Finished the admission and all. Classes gonna get started from June."
"Ah, I see. What major?" Airi asked back almost immediately.
