"Where are you right now? I don't see ya in the field…" Carter spoke up once again.
"I'm… at…" Airi hesitated a little before telling him her location. "The rooftop of the main building."
"Great, I'll be there in minutes." And the call ended, the same way it abruptly came.
And just as he said, he ran up to the rooftop within a few minutes. His breathing was a little erratic, proving the fact that he had been running for a while now.
"Hey, somethin' wrong? You seem in quite a rush," Airi turned at him, removing her eyes from the mesmerizing fireworks display.
"Why are you here alone? Everyone is down there," Carter spoke after calming himself down a bit.
Airi just smiled at him, and signaled him to come near her. Once he walked up close, she pointed at the sky, and just then, another peony lit up. "That's why. Looks way better, ne?"
