Cherry finished her breakfast and took dishes to the kitchen. She washed the dishes and came into the living room. Charles was lying on the sofa while watching the news.
"Hey you, what are you doing here?", cherry asked annoyingly.
"I'm watching TV", he said without looking towards her.
"Get out of my house, right know Charles", she said angrliy.
"Please get out of my way, I'm watching something very important", he said smilingly.
Cherry sat on another side of the sofa when she heard someone ringing the bell. She got up and went towards the door to open it. Her eyes open wide to see Chris in front of her, he was holding some beer cane and some bags.
"Hey princess", he said while kissing the side of her lips and without saying anything else he passed Cherry and went towards the living room.
"Hey buddy, here are the things you asked me to bring", Chris said while shaking his hand with Charles.
Cherry was in utter shock, she went near Chris who was putting things on the table. She touched his head with her hand and then checked her head, "what are you doing princess?", Chris asked while wrapping his arms around her waist.
"I'm just trying to figure out things that are happening.", she replied while rubbing her eyes as she was still tired.
Chris went to the living room and passed the beer cane to Charles," here you go", he said with a smile.
Cherry was just trying to take it. How things have changed in a night?
Cherry sat on the sofa and turned towards the boys, "hey you two just get out from here, this is my house, not a hotel.", she said annoyingly.
They both just kept talking about the news and didn't pay any attention to her. Cherry signed in defeat as she knew that they will not listen to her.
"I'm going to sleep", she said while rubbing her eyes.
"Sleep well princess", Chris said without looking at her.
Cherry went to her room and shut the door as she was too tired to talk to them.
Chris looked towards Charles and his expression turned serious. Charles also straighten his back and looked towards Chris.
"Do you get any information about Mr. X?", Chris asked coldly.
"No, my boys are still working on it.", Charles replied while Scratching his eyebrow.
"So you will stay by her side all the time", Chris asked sternly.
There was an awkward silence in the room and they both were death glaring at each other.
"I don't think I have any other choice, Only this way we can keep her safe.", Charles replied concerned.
They both kept quiet and kept on drinking. Cherry got up from the noises from the living room. She hopped from her bed and ran towards the living room. The whole living room was a mess. Charles was lying on the floor while Chris was sitting beside him. They both were totally drunk. Cherry went towards them and looked at them with angry eyes.
"Hey princess, you are here, you are looking so beautiful, I love you princess", he said while pouting his lips. Cherry smiled at his expression and helped him to get up. She helped him to land on the sofa. Then she went towards Charles and covered him with the covers. While she was covering him he held her hand and pulled her towards him. Cherry fell on his chest.
HEY SWEETIE, just be here with me, soon you gonna leave me forever, you don't know how much it hurt to see you in his arms, but I can't have you and I can't stop myself from loving you. With that, he passed out.
Cherry was shocked by his sudden confession. She sat there for some time and then got up from there. She cleaned all the mess and then went to her room for taking a long warm bath. She put on some comfortable clothes and went to the living room. She grabbed her purse and went out of the house to get some groceries and some essential toiletries.
She went into the mart near the house and after doing shopping for almost two hours she came back to her house. She put the groceries on the kitchen counter and went to keep other things in her room.
She came out and went to the kitchen for preparing dinner, She washed all the Vegetables and arranged everything neatly in the refrigerator. She went to the kitchen and started making dinner. After three hours of hard work she finished making everything and set everything on the dining table. She cooked chicken soup, Shrimp with Vermicelli and Garlic, Steamed Vermicelli Rolls, and some other side dishes. After arranging everything neatly on the dining table she went to the living room to wake them up.
They all sat on the there seats and started eating. "Hey princess, this so delicious, thank you", Chris said warmly. Cherry just smiled at the compliment given by him.
Charles quietly finished his dinner and then helped Cherry with the dishes. He washed the dishes and kept them properly in the cupboard. Chris left after having dinner as he had to go to his parent's house for discussing his marriage with Cherry.
Cherry was sipping his beer when Charles came and sat on the sofa. There was an awkward silence in the room. Cheery looked towards him and asked, "You should go now, it's quite late now".
Charles nodded his head and got up and then went out of the room without looking at Cherry. Cherry walked him out and then she looked towards him and hugged him. Charles got startled by her sudden action, but he hugged her back. Cherry looked into his eyes and said, "It's time for you to move on from your past."
Charles just smiled and climbed into his car and left. Cherry stood there for some time and then went inside locking the door behind her. It was a long Tiring day, she thought, and went to her room for an early rest.
On his way back, Charles pulled the car near a bar and went inside it, He ordered a drink and sat on the chair. He got his drink, he was totally lost in his thought when he got a call.
Boss, your meeting with Erick is set, you can meet him tomorrow., with that, he hung up the call. Charles's expression turned more gloomy. He gulped his drink and went out of the bar.
