When the topic of slaves was discussed and brought to light, Shamar seemed to not be a sympathizer, and she wasn't a believer of freedom either. Her ideas aligned with her husband's and she thought slaves must be slaves since they were born to work and die. That's when Reiki, Lee and I knew that we had no support from her about our plans, hence we didn't tell her anything concerning what we wanted to do.
When they were occupied with their own matters, we visited the mines and plantations where slaves were working, and good thing we walked around with Reiki who people noticed as Malik because they weren't suspicious of us. We were just normal guests to the big house of Ismail looking around his property.
