"Thank you." Ellen thanked the driver before stepping out of the bus. Finally, they reached the town and the ride was surprisingly peaceful. She pretended to be asleep and grim brought it. Stretching her arms, she pulled her phone out to call Chloe when somebody screamed her name from behind.
"Hi, Eugene!" She smiled and embraced the girl in a friendly hug.
"He-y. I told your friends I'd take you to them. They are waiting for you in the guest house." Something about the little girl was fishy. Grim had lived enough to sense the danger miles across and she only standing at a distance of some feet.
"Don't call the traitor my friend." Ellen huffed. She was still angry at Chloe for leaving her with good for nothing grim. She felt she had pulled a vein in her neck by facing the window throughout the journey. At a point, she wished to fall asleep so that she might use grim's shoulder as her pillow but she did not.
