Buried under meters of oxygen-stealing dirt, Noe's life slips from his grasp. His ears absorb the sound of Eris shoveling towards him from above yet the sense does nothing to return Noe's vitality to him. It is as if Noe is trapped in a bubble, the outside separated from him by a thin layer he cannot penetrate through.
Noe attempts to think his way out of impending doom. However, his brain, so used to a rush of excess oxygen, can barely function after ten seconds of deprivation.
Weakened, Noe can only wait for death.

Ravenously searching the domescrapers and cars with his eyes for clues, Daniel figures that the one thing capable of debilitating Noe is a lack of oxygen.
