Warily, I bite my lip. Valerian's words aren't exactly the most assuring, all things considered, but with a languorous sigh I decide to hear him out. After all, he was by the Ethereum more than anyone, the least I can do is hear him out on what might happen to me. Even if that does make my stomach twist with fear.
As though sensing these emotions coursing through my veins, Valerian lays a hand lightly o my shoulder, hovering for a moment.
"I am afraid the fact that you have a demon heart makes you rather susceptible to the powers of the Ethereum," he explains with a wan smile as he leans down to bring me level to him.
