"Always," Val smiles, jabbing me once in the ribs. "You think we would abandon you after everything you have done for us? After all you mean to us? Come on El, you think too little of us," he chuckles heartily to himself with a sideways grin. Flushing a little, I look away, mumbling a few unheard complaints about how I didn't mean it in that way, and that my only point was that I was glad that I have the two of them with me.
But as expected over the bumbling chaos of the room, neither of them hear this.
