It was morning. I was fast asleep on a bench in the park, but the bright sun shining down on me had woken me up.
"h-h-huh?"
"w-w-where am I?"
𝘖𝘩, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. 𝘐 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘮 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯.
"Guess I ended up falling asleep."
"Hey mom, that guy looks poor!"
"Jonathan! Don't say that out loud!"
"Cmon keep walking!"

𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘸. 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵.
"Jeez. What am I suppose to do now?"
"Hey sir, I'm sorry, but you can't sleep here."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I was just leaving!"
"Oh, then sorry to bother you."
𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘰. 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦.
I walked for a while. After a while, I finally found what I was looking for.
"I finally found you!"
It was a cafe where my friend is working at. I use to go there every day, but after the rent increased I stop going.
"I hope Parker will let me stay for a while."
Parker is my friend that I've known since my day in high school. After not speaking for a year, I found out he worked here and we started to talk again.
"Ok, here I go!"
*ring*
"Hi, Welcome to The Caf-
*Drop*
*Crash*
"J-J-J-JACKSON!"
"h-h-hey parker."
In a rush, parker started to run right for me. In a blink of an eye, Parker was standing right in front of me.
"JACKSON, HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN!"
"I-I-I don't remember"
"MAN ITS BEEN AGES!"
Whispering all he said was
"so what you need?"
"money?"
"food?"
"shelter?"
"W-W-WHAT, WHY DO YOU THINK I NEED SOMETHING EVERY TIME I VISIT YOU!"
"Whoa there, your right."
"so anyways, which one was it?"
In an angry tone, I said
"all of the above."
"Hahaha."
"Don't laugh!"
"Hmm, I think I got a spare room in the back."
"Really! Thanks!"
"Don't worry about it, but remember, when you get rich, I better get some of that!"
"Yeah sure."
"Great, so anyways, get settled in the back. We can talk later since I am in the middle of work."
"Ok!"
2 Hours Later
I waited and waited, but it felt as if time was taking forever. I really wanted to catch up with parker, since it had been a while since we talked.

I looked to see what he was up to, but he was still working.
10 Minutes pass
Minutes felt like hours. I needed to find a way to calm myself.
"Oh! I could take a walk!"
I got up and walked out.
"Where you going!?"
"Taking a quick walk!"
"Oh ok, don't take too long!"
"Ok!"
I walked around for a while. I didn't know where I was, but all I knew was, that it looked great outside.
The nice orangeish color beaming down onto the trees and buildings looked great.
I felt great.
25 Minutes pass
"Huh!"
"Man, the walk felt so nice I forgot about time!"
"I should get back!"
As I was about to make my way back something caught my attention.
"Huh, what's this!"
I saw a piece of paper on the floor. It looked kinda old. I don't know why it caught my eye, but it did.
After picking it up and looking at it closer, I noticed it wasn't just a piece of paper.
"Huh, hey it's a lottery ticket!"
After looking at it even closer I noticed something.
"N-N-No way!"
"It's the winning ticket!"
"Why would anyone drop this!"
After a minute of joy and laughter, I remembered I was in public. I quickly ran back to the cafe at full speed.
*Ring*
"Oh, welcome back! We just closed."
"Oh, that's good because I need to talk to you!"
"Ok, sure just give me a minute!"
"I'll be in my room!"
"ok."
15 minutes pass
*Knock* *Knock*
"Come in!"
"Hey Jackson, so what did you want to talk about."
"This!"
"A crusty piece of paper?"
"No! Look at it closer!"
"Oh, hey it's a lottery ticket."
"What did you win 5 dollars?"
"No look again!"
"Hmm."
"N-N-NO WAY!"
"I KNOW RIGHT!"
"WITH THIS MICH MONEY YOU WOULD BE SET FOR LIFE!"
"I KNOW RIGHT!"
After a minute of the excitement, the room was filled with silence.
"Hmmm."
"What's wrong?"
"Well, if people found out how much money you will have, they might try to steal it."
"y-y-yea your right."
"Hey, no need to panic. We just have to keep it quiet and it should be good."
"Yea but sti-"
"Look, we can go tomorrow to the police, and maybe they can help."
"Yea, your right."
"Ok then, try to get some rest."
"Right!"
"Ok then, we leave for the police station tomorrow."
For the first time, I had finally gotten something in life. I felt as if I was the king or something.
But in truth, it all went downhill from there.
