Today's date is July 23rd 2006 and is the same day that a boy named Nick Alexander was coming to live with his relatives in America.In a large mansion in Atlanta,Georgia the sun was starting to rise.Nick had just arrived to the city of Atlanta and had gotten out of the airplane when he saw his aunt,uncle and nephew waiting for him.He walked over to them and greeted them."Nick you've grown up so much since the last time we saw you",said Ms.Maire his aunt as she looked him head to toe with astonishment.
Nick had last seen them when he was 10 and now he is 15 years old.He looks like he has a slight tan with navy blue eyes and long black raven hair with a beauty mark right below his left eye and he is 5'6 feet tall.Nick's mother Diya was of Indian origin and he has been living with her for most of his life in India while his father who was Mr.Maire's brother had died in a car accident a few days before Nick was born but 2 weeks ago his mother had died of an illness and so he had to come live with his closest relatives which are His aunt and Uncle in America and while the papers were getting sorted,his mother was getting buried and they were getting everything ready he had to stay in a hotel till an escort from the Child protection services had arrived and taken him to the airport.They had only come to visit him and his mother a few times in India though they had recently lost touch.
Even ice cream couldn't make this day feel any better for Nick as he was still grieving his mother.When it was Nick's birthday back in India his mother had delayed to come for the birthday at the venue then after everybody had left,the police came to take him home and broke the news to him on the way to his house.
After Nick had caught up a bit with the Maire family they went back to their huge mansion of which Nick was the least bit happy to live in as his former house wasn't this large and definitely didn't have a swimming pool.Zhakari Maire,Nick's cousin guided him up the stairs and showed him to his room which was bigger than his room with big brown cabinets that would shimmer in the light,a big king sized bed with white sheets and blankets,a silver rectangular body mirror,a bathroom and washroom with a light pink carpet on it's green door,blue curtains covering English windows and a glass door that led to a balcony outside."I-Is this all for me?",he questioned stuttering out of pure astonishment stuttering."Yes Mom and Dad said that this is your room and you can tell me if you want to decorate and design it Nicky",Zhakari said unknowingly making Nick a little annoyed by the nickname.After Nick unpacked his clothes and all the other things he brought with him including his posters of his idol"Tatsu,the Immortal Dragon who was from an anime called "The Way of the Househusband" which he put all over his room,Nick showed him the rest of the house which was the kitchen,the garden,the basketball court,the living room,the tennis court and even the indoor gym and outdoor dojo.
At night it was time to eat dinner when Miss Maire who had cooked their dinner had called them down for dinner.Miss Kendrick Maire was a remarkable woman that was a businesswoman and at the same time a stay-at-home-mom while her husband Tyler Maire was a C.E.O. of a big business called Ace that is a business that works with inventors to create new things both for fun and to use in daily life and made more income from some of their inventions which was currently one of the biggest companies on the whole globe.
As they ate dinner Mr Maire asked"So Nick are you ready for your first day at your new school Excelion High tomorrow" and Nick replied in an unsure voice"Oh Um I guess."Miss Maire then hit her husband on the arm and asked"So tell me Nick how do you find your new house,I mean I know it may not feel like home now but I hope it does someday?"and he replied"It is actually quite delightful auntie,way more than the apartment I was staying in before coming here",he answered."Well that's nice to hear and don't worry because tomorrow Zhakari will be your own personal guide around the school and will also help you with your studies and whatever else is needed",Miss Maire said."That's right Nicky boy from today on you can be my own apprentice",Zhakari said in a playful and confident voice before getting slapped on the back of his head by his mother then she said"Don't be annoying around your cousin Zhakari or else I'll tell him your middle name"and that instantly shut Zhakari up from what he was about to say.
They finished eating dinner at 9:30pm and as they were all going to sleep Miss Maire said while looking toward Zhakari and Nick"Goodnight and sweet dreams honeybuns"and they replied surprisingly simultaneously"Same to you."It was Midnight and Nick had just woken up from a nightmare where two monsters one which was red and had blue horns and another which was green with many screaming faces on it's head that had been chasing him in the woods and then when they finally caught up to him,he burnt them all with his white flames that burn anything they touch and it turned them into spirits that were then sealed in his body as extra souls.He woke up covered in sweat then he turned his night-lamp on and grabbed a book with the words"Dreamery 16" written on the front and started writing furiously in it. After that he went back to sleep into a dreamless sleep unaware of the dark emerald green eyes piercing into his soul from a figure standing on his balcony then it disappeared like it was never there not living a trace.
