𝐼 π‘π‘Žπ‘›'𝑑 π‘šπ‘œπ‘£π‘’ π‘šπ‘¦ π‘π‘œπ‘‘π‘¦ π‘’π‘–π‘‘β„Žπ‘’π‘Ÿ. 𝐼𝑠 π‘‘β„Žπ‘–π‘  π‘Ž 𝑠𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑝 π‘π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘™π‘¦π‘ π‘–π‘  π‘Žπ‘”π‘Žπ‘–π‘›? Suddenly the air changed as if everything stopped. I could feel something near me. Some energy, I felt uncomfortable with the presence of whoever it was.

"Are you foolish? You did the opposite of the orders. What were you thinking when you did this? A guy spoke, his voice hoarse and Intimidating.

" Apologies chief we did not mean to let things get out of hand. Another one spoke his voice lacing with fear.

" Do you think Master accept foolish mistakes like this and forgive you. Prepare for the consequences. You were ought to scare her only, you foolish mortals!" The first guy spoke again rather furious and his words struck like thunder.

"That driverβ€”"

"Enough! Dismissed"

I felt as if he was close, the woody scent he was emitting was burning my nose. I couldn't gather my thoughts about my surroundings and suddenly the scent faded and the air became calm.

π‘€β„Žπ‘’π‘Ÿπ‘’ π‘Žπ‘š 𝐼? π‘‡β„Žπ‘–π‘  𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔... π΄π‘š 𝐼 𝑖𝑛 π‘Ž β„Žπ‘œπ‘ π‘π‘–π‘‘π‘Žπ‘™! π‘Šβ„Žπ‘Žπ‘‘ π‘€π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘’ π‘‘β„Žπ‘œπ‘ π‘’ π‘šπ‘’π‘› π‘‘π‘Žπ‘™π‘˜π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘Žπ‘π‘œπ‘’π‘‘ π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘€β„Žπ‘œ π‘€π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘’ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’π‘¦ π‘‘π‘Žπ‘™π‘˜π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘Žπ‘π‘œπ‘’π‘‘? π‘‡β„Žπ‘–π‘  β„Žπ‘’π‘Žπ‘‘π‘Žπ‘β„Žπ‘’ 𝑖𝑠 β„Žπ‘’π‘™π‘™π‘Ž π‘’π‘›π‘π‘’π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘π‘™π‘’. I lost consciousness due to the severe headache.

My eyes flutter open adjusting to the bright lighting of the room. I removed the oxygen mask and tried to sit up but failed to do so because of the unbearable pain.Β  The splitting headache, the throbbing of my stomach and the tubes attached to my body didn't help either.

The nurse came in for a check up. She left after the check up without uttering a word. I rested my head on the headboard and closed my eyes. My thoughts wandered to those men from earlier.

Mike and the others came later that bombarding me with questions that I had no answer to. The doctor later explained that a family who were on their way home brought me here and left. He also said that I unconscious for 3 days and said I was lucky that my friends were by my side.

We talked for what felt like hours but in real sense it was only an hour and then the girls went to get something to eat and the boys went out to complete the formalities. I wasn't badly injured but I had fractured my leg which was in bandage now and some bruises on my hands and face. I felt better as I took painkillers to ease my throbbing headache.

"Bella!

πΏπ‘’π‘π‘Žπ‘ ? I shot my eyes open and turned my head to the door to see Lucas panting and after he saw me, relief washed over his face.

" Gosh Bella, you scared me to death."He hugged me which took me by surprise but I returned the hug." How did this happen?" He asked pointing at my leg. I just shrugged because I myself knew nothing.

His eyes softened and he took my hand and squeezed it gently. Butterflies? Maybe that's what I felt or was it because I was hungry. Never felt this way before.

" Don't worry Lucas, I'll be fine in a few days" I said cheerfully. He breathed out loudly as if he was holding it for the longest time.

"I hope so Bella. You know I came running when I heard about your accident and I was having ugly thoughts" He looked away "Then your friend stopped me from seeing you but I'm glad you woke up today I got to see you."

His face was gleaming and his eyes had a glint. My stomach did a flip from his concern. My friend? Mike or who? I didn't ask him anything for now.

We chatted, laughing and talking about random things. He cracked jokes and I was laughing till my ribs hurt. I felt better and I was glad he came.

We played some games on his phone and I won.

" Now that I won, don't forget about your promise. The loser has to do whatever the winner says"

" What exactly do you want? Food?"He asked

"I'll ask for it when the time comes"

"I will waiβ€”"

"What the heck are you doing here?" Mike's voice bellowed in the room.

I finished the papers and the girls joined us. We sat on the bench outside discussing something.

"Who could be behind this?" Sarah asked. If only I knew which bast**d did this he would have pleaded to be killed because of the things I'd have done to him.

"Her birthday is approaching and things will come to light one by one and she knows nothing about her identity". Theo said worriedly.

"I don't think its a good idea to keep her in the dark" Lia added.

"Enough guys, no one will tell her anything as of now until her birthday. Keep your mouths shut up until that day. I warned them." Lia go check on her, if she's a sleep we'll leave" I said

"Mike! Lucas is here and the nurse said he's here since we left" Lia came running and told me.

I rushed inside to where Bella was.

"What the heck are you doing here?"I asked furious. My hands in a fist ready to pounce on him and disfigure his face. I held his collar seething with anger but unfortunately I couldn't do anything because the nurse came and told us the visiting hour is over and we should leave.

Seeing Mike's outburst frustrated me to the core and before I could confront him, the visiting hours were over.

Lucas came and said his goodbye. He caressed my hair, smiled and left. Mike was about to go after him but I stopped him, giving him a glare I shook my head.

They all went and promised to come back the next day.
