Jennie turned on her voice changer and answered him, '' Hello, Lawyer Chen . Where are you right now?"
Lawyer Chen was irritated because this person did not even tell his name and is asking about his whereabouts. He answered in a irritated manner," Sir, What is your name by the way ? I don't recognize you and that is why I cannot tell you where I am ."
Jennie chuckled hearing his reply . Well, a normal person would reply that only.
'' Oh, you don't need to tell. Let me guess, at Mystic Cafe , taking money from the employee of BG Entertainment. Oooh, and your fees is 1 million $ but why is there 2 milliion $ in the bag ?? Don't tell me you are taking bribe money."
Lawyer Chen was already covered in sweat. First, this person asked his whereabout though he already knew that , then he even told what he was doing without being present there. He checked around him for any suspicious person but there was no one present in the cafe other than him because he deliberately choose this cafe where no one came. The employee already left and he was there alone. He was about to cut the call when the other person said ," Don't you dare.. Well , I have two choices for you . First, leave silently and decline to be their lawyer or ...second, Die . Right there , no one is going to save you.. You are alone . Choose fast , It is getting boring.."
He looked around again and saw a truck coming his way , as if it was going to break open the cafe and kill him. He had no option, the truck was coming faster and when it was just at a distance of 2 m and still did not stop , he yelled, '' Okay, okay . I will choose the first one .. please don't kill me . I beg you ."
Jennie laughed in victory as she told the truck driver to stop through her other phone . The truck took U-turn and went back. She hacked into the CCTV of the cafe. It didn't even have a single good firewall. She hacked into it in seconds. From there only , she was telling his every move.
"Wise choice .. Now , tell the BG Entertainment that you can't take the case , right there."
He quickly cut the call and called the company's CEO. He told them that he could not take the case . The CEO cursed at him as it looked like he was already in a bad mood and this news even worsened his mood. He threatened to kill the lawyer , to which the lawyer did not respond and hung up.
The lawyer called Jennie again .
"He is saying that he will kill me. Mr. Please do something . I can't be killed."
He was literally pleading her . She messaged Sophia to send a car for the lawyer , so that he could leave safely and settle in a different city.
'' I have already made arrangements. A car will come and take you to a different city. You will be given all the daily necessaties and you will start your life on new basis there."
He 'agreed ' and hung up. It was better to live in a different city then being killed. Atleast, there he could start his life and carrer again.
Jennie called Sophia and told her to threaten all the lawyers in the city to not take BG Entertainment's case. It would be a dead end for the company now. Without a lawyer, they can't win the lawsuit and hence they will postpone it , giving enough time to Davidsons Group to find the evidence . She drove off for the Davidsons Group. She reached there in 10 mins and called James.
He picked up the call immediately.
'' I am on the gates of your building , would you like me to visit you at this time?"
''Of course , there is no problem ."
" Then , tell your receptionist to allow me to go to your office because I don't want some drama happening there. "
James chuckled at her straightforward behaviour. He told his sercretary to personally bring Jennie to his office. His secretary was on the moon after listening that the great Jennie Laurence was going to visit their office. He was a big fan of her and couldn't control himself but one glare from James and he was already on his way to the reception.
In the lobby, Jennie came and was greeted by his personal secretary. She thanked the god that she did not have to confront the receptionist because they all gave weird stares when one told that they want to meet their CEO and she hated those glances.
He took her to the private elevator ,barely controlling himself from crying there and then because of so much happiness of meeting her. Jennie and he ignored all kinds of gazes they were getting and left for the CEO's office. Jennie already went there once , so it wasn't an awe to her , the architecture.
The assistant took her upto the door of his office and left from there .
Jennie knocked twice before entering the office.
He was sitting on the chair working through some documents but as the door opened he was mesmerized by the woman in front of him. She looked very beautiful and her blue eyes glittering with excitement which she could barely contain in them. He cleared his throat and both of them got out from there stupor. It felt like they were hipnotized in each other's eyes. He gestured her to sit .
'' Coffee or tea?"
'' Umm.. Coffee."
He ordered two coffees and completed the paper work he was doing in no time.
"SO..?" he asked Jennie who was scrolling through her phone when suddenly his phone rang. He picked it up and was a little surprised at the news given by the other side. He hung up and looked at Jennie keenly.
"This fast??" he asked her and she kept her phone on the table.
"What this fast??"
