Chapter 19 - EPISODE 19: TWO FORGOTTEN FACES

EPISODE 19: TWO FORGOTTEN FACES

OUTDOOR AREA, IN THE MAIN GARDEN WITH THE CHERRY TREE-DAY

(Dawn dawns and the children are already in the garden squatting. In the middle sits yūto while on his left sits sora and on his right Aiko. The elder also sits squatting with his back to the children and beside the cherry tree. A light breeze fanned the uniforms worn by the three children. Then the elder says)

ELDER

You are ready to leave. Thank you yūto for protecting our city, we all owe you eternal gratitude.

(And he makes an invocation to yūto without rising from the ground from where he sits. Yūto bends his head saying in turn)

YŪTO

It's an honor to help anyone who needs my help.

(But sora gets up angry from the ground and banging his foot on the ground shouts)

SORA

STUPID OLD MAN, IT WASN'T JUST YŪTO WHO HELPED SAVE YOUR FUCKING VILLAGE! I WAS OUT THERE TOO! AND I HELPED! I DEMAND A RESPECT FOR WORKING SO HARD!

(Aiko tells sora angry)

AIKO

Stop sora!

(Sora however keeps shouting)

SORA

YOU SHUT UP! I was ready to die for you and your worthless city! I WAS ONE STEP BEFORE DEATH, DO YOU KNOW THAT, YOU KNOW THAT?! YOU FUCKING USELESS SKELETON IN LEATHER!

(And he points with his thumb at himself)

AIKO

Stop talking so insultingly to the teacher, especially the parting day that is today.

(Sora looks at aiko with the corner of his eye and starts laughing saying)

SORA

Hahahahaha! Because what are you gonna do to me, you weak gorilla girl? You gonna beat me up? Hahahahahaaa, let me laugh.

(As he says all this sora turns his whole body towards aiko and with closed eyes opens his hands while he has an ironic smile on his lips. Aiko clenches her teeth, takes action and jumps on sora hitting him. So does sora shouting. Cries from sora and aiko are heard while yūto sits squatting and in a sad, disappointed tone bends his head down making a long exhalation. The elder with a smile on his lips says)

ELDER

Good luck yūto my child, I think you will need it anyway, hehe.

(Yūto says to the elder with sad look)

YŪTO

And not only master, and not only.

(The elder smiles)

ELDER

Lol, don't worry, you'll be fine. Travel as far away as you can, protect as many people as you can, change the future. Good luck my sons and daughter.

(Directly aiko and sora stop fighting and stay in their positions. Aiko has grasped sora headlock with her two hands and sora with one hand pushes her head back. Aiko asks the elder with curiosity)

AIKO

You, master, won't you come with us?

(The elder turns his back toward the children and sits squatting beside the cherry tree. Then with a smile on his lips he answers)

ELDER

I lived my life. I fought countless demons over time. I fell in Love, had a family and as an escort in the old age that I am now I have the unforgettable priceless memories of the past. I am old and weak, my bones ache, all I want is to rest and die calm one Forgotten Day in front of so many others. Now it's your turn, it's your time to write a new, well-written, beautiful, outstanding, moving and well-finished story.

(Aiko lets sora out of her hands, so does sora. Then aiko looks at the elder and with anxiety in her gaze says while her voice begins to tremble)

AIKO

What are you talking about, Master? You're not old at all, you can follow us. You'll die here if you stay!

ELDER

Aiko! Don't try unjustly to change my decision. Go away, it's time to spread your wings and fly. Fly, fly away. Good luck, my sweet girl.

(Aiko bends her head and with tears dripping from her face and falling down to the ground she cries)

AIKO

I knew it, you're afraid to face the Demons! You're scared!

(Yūto gets up and shouts)

YŪTO

STOP AIKO!

(But the elder beckons him with his hand not to continue. Aiko continues and cries as she cries)

AIKO

Why do you send us and you stay behind? WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?! A DEMON HUNTER IS NEVER AFRAID! REMEMBER, REMEMBER?! YOU TAUGHT ME THAT RULE! Why, why stay behind? You're my grandfather, you taught me, I lived with you all these years and now, now you're asking me to leave just like that? Then, then. THEN I WON'T LEAVE UNLESS YOU COME WITH US, I WON'T LEAVE YOU BEHIND! DO YOU HEAR ME?! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I WILL NOT ABANDON YOU, I DO NOT WANT TO ABANDON YOU, I WILL NOT LOSE YOU.

(The elder turns his head, and looks at aiko with a sweet smile as he has his eyes closed)

ELDER

Forgive me aiko, my daughter. But that's the way things have to go. Life is a river that has a path to travel, it can not move backwards except towards its destination. As he goes along his path he will encounter stones, he will hit on them but he will continue the long journey towards the waterfall. That's what you should do, aiko, I'm one of those stones. Leave me and continue your long journey.

(The elder turns his head forward and serious, sad look says in a calm voice)

ELDER

Yūto, get aiko out of here.

(Yūto in one motion grabs aiko and puts her on his shoulder. Aiko cries to the elder with tears in her eyes, but the elder closes his eyes and says in a hushed voice)

ELDER

I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

(Aiko forcefully hits yūto's back, while yūto says as they move further and further away)

YŪTO

Sorry aiko, but it's for your own good.

(Aiko continues to cry with tears in her eyes)

AIKO

LET GO OF ME! PUT ME DOWN! Grandpa! LET ME GO, I SAID LET ME GO! Grandpa!

(Sora can't hear aiko screaming and slaps her back on the neck while simultaneously saying)

SORA

SHUT UP AT LAST!

(Aiko faints. The elder, after the children have left, rises from the ground and grasps one of the pink leaves of the cherry tree, then says with a smile on his lips and a tear rolling down his cheek)

ELDER

You're worried about losing me, aren't you, little aiko? Well, you'll never lose me, I'll always be there for you. I will protect you, no matter what, that is a promise I will never break.

(At these words a strong wind blows. The elder leaves from his hand the pink Leaf, the Leaf travels where the wind takes it. The moment the elder leaves the pink Leaf, all the pink leaves that are on the branches of the cherry tree come off and start their journey where the wind takes them. When all the sexes were removed from the cherry tree, The Elder was transformed into a spirit in the form of a pink leaf and travels with the rest of the pink leaves of the cherry tree. There is not a single leaf on the cherry tree. Meanwhile when they have moved away from the temple and have entered the forest yuto asks aiko turns his head as far back as he can to look at her)

OUTDOORS, IN THE FOREST-DAY

YŪTO

Aiko, are you okay?

(Then he sees aiko asleep. Sora who has his hands behind his head and walks beside yūto says ironically)

SORA

Stupid, pathetic that she is. One wants to be demon hunter and the other does not want to abandon her master.

(Sora takes a long breath)

SORA

Female psychology, one cold one hot. Not like us, who know what we want and who walk past all the obstacles in our way or in this case kill them. Hahahahahaha.

(Yūto looks at sora and with a smile on his lips says)

YŪTO

Maybe you're right, but that's how it is if you have feelings inside you. If you've ever loved. When you leave something behind on its own, the mind brings all the pleasant memories that you lived with this person, as a result of which it does not let you part with it and want to stay close to it.

(Sora looks forward and says with a serious look)

SORA

For this reason yūto you should never think and have feelings. The mind is an adversary, the Demons take advantage of that. In this world anyone who has feelings is weak and in the end, dies-

(But before sora completes his sentence, yūto interrupts him by telling him)

YŪTO

Or he gets stronger.

(Sora remembers yūto taking out his katana through the fire as he had emerged from the sleep of the female demon in the forest. Sora smiles slyly and goes on to say his)

SORA

I doubt that. Very few demon hunters will be able not to tear themselves away from the memories of the past and continue to walk with their heads held high, looking straight into the night to come. My teacher likens thought to rocks and rapid attacks to river water.

YŪTO

Mmm, I can understand.

(After a while walking through the forest yūto asks sora)

YŪTO

Sora, what demons have you fought so far?

(Sora is surprised and answers)

SORA

What kind of question is that? Whatever demons I found were beheaded without a second thought.

YŪTO

Do you know about demons?

SORA

I'm glad you asked. Out in the forest there are two kinds of Demons, The Executioner demons and the blood moon demons. The executioners are demons who do not possess any particularly amazing technique, they circulate through the cities and the forest trying to find as many prey to kill and feed on them. This kind of demon you can kill them without much difficulty, unlike the blood moon demons. Blood moon are demons with supernatural powers, of course they are superior to the executioners and stronger. The small difference between these two types of Demons is that the executioners are killed by night as well as by day. While the blood moon have three distinct methods to kill them. The first is that you must possess a special technique like that which you possess yūto, and I do not mean any other than fire. The second and most effective method is to kill them from the inside.

YŪTO

On the inside?

SORA

By poisoning them, I mean. While the third and last method is to face them face to face. Then, if you survive all night until dawn, and if you stay alive, you might kill them. If they don't run away like rats, of course. You can't imagine how many bastards have escaped me like this, good grief. They are too afraid of sunlight, it is their greatest, invincible enemy.

YŪTO

In fact, very interesting useful information. And what moves would you recommend in turn?

SORA

A very effective move but difficult to learn is called blade of blood. Hunter feeds blood to the blade depending on the weapon he owns. Demons as we all know become stronger in the blood moon, but with this movement you give them so much power that they cannot control it. That way they burst like a balloon, you have to see it is strikingly beautiful this moment. Another exquisite move is the balance of natures or else called the spirit of the natures. Then we have poison technic, with this movement you turn the blade of your katana to have poison, and with a very small cut it can even bring death. While let's not forget and the broken fingers movement.

(Yūto stays impressed by sora's knowledge and says)

YŪTO

How do you know all this? You said You Didn't know anything about the rest of the techniques, you tricked me!

(Sora tells yūto continuing to walk through the forest looking ahead)

SORA

The knowledge I have in my mind I keep only to myself, unless ... if I meet someone worthless, pathetic like you who knows nothing! You're more blind than I am blind! You worthless rat!

(Yūto starts shouting as sora smiles and simultaneously thinks)

SORA

Of course not, I give information to anyone who deserves to know it. Too easily you forget yūto, too easily. Better for me.

(Yūto continues to shout at sora. After a long walk sora tells yuto with an ironic look)

SORA

Is gorilla girl still sleeping? I wonder why she is so tired, very strange don't you agree, yūto?

(Yūto sweats a little and answers with a serious look)

YŪTO

Come on, sora, stop fooling around. nothing happened! Maybe he had nightmares and I didn't get enough sleep, that's all.

(Sora turns his head forward and looking at yūto with the corner of his eye says)

SORA

Mmm, maybe you're right, but first those voices and now aiko is asleep. Very likely something tired her or someone exhausted her. It's all so weird and coming together in some weird way like pieces of a puzzle.

(Yūto thinks with sweat rolling down his face)

YŪTO

Yes, sora does not know what had happened in the temple bath, only he heard some screams. Oh, what a relief. He must not understand me, though there is something hidden in his sly gaze. Damn it! If he finds out, he'll mock me for the rest of my life.

(Sora thinks)

SORA

What idiot? He thinks I did not perceive him when he awoke, and that I walked up to the garden, where he met aiko. Useless what? This child is a grief in person. I can see and hear everything. Hehehee, what a pity for you yūto.

SORA

We'd better make a stop and rest here. I'll go find food, you protect aiko until I get back.

(yūto looks at him with a smile saying to him)

YŪTO

Rest assured.

(As sora leaves, yūto leans down on the grass aiko and sits next to her saying)

OUTDOORS, IN THE FOREST-DAY

YŪTO

I understand how hard it is aiko, I understand you but ... but.

(Yūto closes his eyes and rests his head on aiko's head, sleeping and dreaming. In his mind come images of the death of his family but stops at a picture of the past. It's itachi, but you can't see his eyes, just his mouth. So itachi with a big mark on his chest, smiles at him and stretches out his hand. Yūto goes to catch itachi's hand but is suddenly frightened and wakes up, jumps forward. While he sweats and breathes heavily and quickly as if he were running he hears a scream)

SORA

(Cry)

(Aiko wakes up frightened and looks at yūto asking him with Wonder in her gaze)

AIKO

What was that?

(For a few minutes yūto made no reply to aiko. Then startled and startled he takes a sudden and sharp breath, gets up and runs to the place whence the cry was heard. Aiko from behind shouts)

AIKO

Yūto, Where Are you going?

(Yūto sweats as he runs with his arms backward and his body forward. As he runs he thinks)

YŪTO

Was that sora?! But, demons don't show up in the morning. Unless ... unless ... unless ... what could that have been?! Hold on sora, no one will hurt you as long as I live. Nobody! For this, for this yūto run! RUN FASTER!

(Aiko runs too, being a few yards behind yūto. So when she reaches him and they run together she asks him)

AIKO

What was that that sounded like?!

(Yūto as he runs answers aiko)

YŪTO

I don't know, but whatever it is, we'll find out soon enough.

(Passing obstacles that are in the forest such as: fallen tree trunks, stones and others. Aiko again asks)

AIKO

Sora! Where's that stupid mole?

YŪTO

He told me he was going to pick up something to eat.

(Aiko shaking her head says)

AIKO

This kid, he's always getting in trouble.

(Yūto looks at her for a while and then looks ahead again, thinking)

AIKO

Wish him well, that's all. Only be well!

(After much running they appear at that place whence the cry was heard. Yūto and aiko face sora holding his two axes while opposite him is a child with black eyes and brown hair. The child is a little older in age than sora and yuto and looks like he is asleep, there is no trace of a pupil of the eye in his eyes, at the same time he is in an attack posture. His left foot is stretched backward and resting on the ground only the sole of his foot, his body has brought it forward and he is crouched, his head is facing the ground, he is holding a katana with a black blade. The blade is pointed towards sora as he holds it with both hands on the left side next to his head. Yuto yells

loud)

OUTDOORS, IN THE FOREST-AFTERNOON

YŪTO

SORA!

(Sora turns to yūto to look at him. The child finds his opportunity and with a strong push on the ground he is pushed forward and nails sora. Yūto cries with anxiety at his sight)

YŪTO

SORA! No!

(The child immediately pulls katana through sora and disappears with a step into the forest. Yūto and aiko approach sora by running. Yūto then raises sora's head and shouts trying to revive him)

YŪTO

SORA! SORA, WAKE UP! WAKE UP SORA!

AIKO

I'll get some water.

YŪTO

Please don't die, not now.

(Sora shakes his eye lashes trying to open his eyes. Yūto responds)

YŪTO

Sora.

(Finally sora opens his eyes saying in a hushed voice)

SORA

Some water.

(At that moment Aiko appears running with a small bottle of water, gives it to sora saying)

AIKO

Drink sora.

AIKO

Good thing there was a river nearby and I could easily find water. Are you better sora?

(Sora drinking all the water says angry)

SORA

Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry about me. As for you, yūto, don't distract me again, you idiot! Am I clear?! I almost died! Stupid, useless worm, untrained hunter!

(Sora with the help of yūto rises from the ground, yūto with one exhalation and with a smile says relieved)

YŪTO

Thank God you're okay.

(But sora angry starts and shouts)

SORA

TSK, IF I RUN INTO HIM AGAIN, I'LL KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH! PATHETIC, HE GOT AWAY LIKE A MOUSE.

(As he says all this he makes sudden movements with his hands at the same time. Yūto tries to calm him by grabbing him by the shoulders and holding him so that he does not make sudden movements and this time breaks his arms. So he says.)

YŪTO

Okay, okay. Now stop making sudden moves, you're badly injured. Something bad can happen by continuing to-

SORA

I'LL KILL HIM WITH MY BARE HANDS! COME BACK IF YOU'RE A MAN! Aah! Ahhh! YOU PATHETIC BASTARD! Aah!

(Yūto continues to hold him by telling him to reassure him)

YŪTO

He's gone, he's gone, he's gone away now. It's okay, it's okay. It's enough for us that you're okay.

(But sora still makes sharp movements, until a snap of his arm is heard. sora gets nervous, so does aiko and yūto. For a while there was silence. Then yūto says frightened and a drop trickles from his face)

YŪTO

Sora? Sora, are you okay?

(Sora can't move and just starts falling backwards slowly. Sora has fallen down to the ground again and yūto angrily yells)

YŪTO

SORA!

(Aiko approaches and takes his hand, sees that he has bruised a large part of his shoulder blade and with an evil smile tells him)

AIKO

This might hurt, not much ... probably a little bit of a hixihahaa. I think it's time for me to remember how many times you called me an incompetent, pathetic, gorilla girl, hehe hehe heehehehehhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

(Sora looks at aiko startled with drops of sweat trickling from his forehead. So sora tells aiko a little scared)

SORA

Come on, aiko, what I said I said because I love you. I would never say all this to someone I don't love and want to make a better warrior of.

(aiko grasps sora's hand and is ready to pull it to him. So she says continuing to have the Demon look on her face)

AIKO

I don't doubt that sora, honey. But I, too, because I love you, will pain you... a little, to bring your hand to the proper place it should be. So that tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, you can fight again as you wish.

(Sora looks one last time at aiko and tells her)

SORA

Well, I see where you're going to send my hand. Maybe beyond blind I don't even have hands after this Aiko "treatment". At least tell me it won't hurt too much, please.

(But aiko does not answer sora, only says in a hurry)

AIKO

Time's up!

(And pulls his hand out. Sora howls to drive away all the birds that sit on the branches of the trees in the forest)

SORA

(Very loud scream)

(After doing this aiko turns her head towards yūto and tells him)

AIKO

Mmm, just like I thought. His shoulder blade is cracked, he's in bad shape.

(Yūto thinks and at once cuts off a piece of sora's blouse to see the wound. That place is bruised but no blood or no wound. Yūto thinks and says)

YŪTO

How? How come you haven't got a wound after he stabbed you with the blade of his katana? He's made of iron and we don't know it, sora?

(With these words he remembers the child pinning sora. Then he goes on to say:)

YŪTO

We saw it with our own eyes, it's not possible.

(Sora looks at them curiously, telling them)

SORA

No, Of course not.he didn't rat me out. he just nailed the Apple I put in my shirt. You're the most useless blind people I've ever met. Good grief.

(Aiko was surprised and shouts angry at sora)

AIKO

HUH?!

(He starts punching sora lightly and at the same time says)

AIKO

And you didn't tell us anything?! You know how nervous we are, huh?! Especially yūto, what you did is no joke. YOU REALLY SCARED US! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!

(Yūto sits down on the ground and thinks)

YŪTO

Why nail the Apple and not sora? He had a chance to kill him with just one move, but he didn't. Why shouldn't he? He probably had another plan in mind, or that wasn't his purpose.

(Aiko ties sora's hand with a bandage and telling him at the same time)

AIKO

Mmm, wait another minute and~ you're ready sora, we're done.

(Sora looks at the bandage around his arm and collarbone saying in Wonder)

SORA

What is this stupid thing, What did you put on me?! It's awful! I want to take it off, it doesn't suit me, ahhh!

(He yells, and at the same time tries to get it out of his hand. Aiko screams angry)

AIKO

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING THERE SORA?! DON'T TAKE IT OFF I'LL KILL YOU~! (Then after aiko re-ties the bandage that sora took off he says)

AIKO

It's called a bandage, it'll keep your hand steady until your bones come together again. You'll wear it all the time until you get better.

(Sora looks at her again and in Wonder says)

SORA

And how am I to fight with this strange thing in my hand? It's going to make it a little difficult for me, but I'm a great warrior so that's fine. I Think ... I Hope.

(As he says all this sora has taken from his back one of the two small axes and makes aggressive movements in the air to see if the bandage makes it difficult for him at the time of battle. Yūto approaches him from behind and takes his hand, saying in a stern tone. Sora looks at him, turning his head)

YŪTO

You won't fight, sora. Leave it to us.

(Sora cries with wonder at his look)

SORA

HUH?! What?!

(Yūto takes him the Little Axe and places it back again in the black sheath he has back on his back. As he puts the axe in sora's sheath, he says: )

YŪTO

You better rest for a few hours. maybe for days until we see you're completely okay. It would be better for you and not only.

(Sora yells at yuto angry)

SORA

HUH, what are you talking about?! A demon hunter never rests! He always has to be alert and wait for his next victim, I can fight! This thing you put on me won't stop me, I'LL fight!

(Yūto advancing towards the river shouts to sora)

YŪTO

SORA!

(Pause, yūto's voice calms)

YŪTO

Listen to me, it's for your own good. I don't want a great warrior like you to die unjustly through folly or misfortune. Trust and you will not lose. None of us will be defeated.

(Then yūto looks at aiko saying to her)

YŪTO

Show us the way to the river, aiko.

(Aiko shakes her head saying)

AIKO

Yes, sir.

(Sora does not move, only thinks looking at the ground)

SORA

He won't tell me what to do! I know very well and alone what to do, how do you think I survived so long in the forest without you yūto? Something has changed in yūto. Something or someone has changed him. Tsk, you pathetic hunter.

(And kicks a stone with his foot. Then he starts to move on without saying anything. Yūto and aiko are further ahead of sora, so aiko tells yūto looking at sora and behind her)

AIKO

Well done yūto, well said to him-

(But yūto interrupts her by saying)

YŪTO

It's for all our sakes, I don't want to give orders or pretend to be the leader of this team. All I want is for all of us to survive this hell. All together, that's all I want. That's what I'm asking. That's why I pray. That's what I'm hoping for. That's why I dream and fight. And one day, we'll make it, mark my words, aiko. Remember them.

(At that moment yūto turns his head towards aiko asking her)

YŪTO

Don't you agree with what I say?

AIKO

Y-yes.

(Then lowers her head and thinks)

AIKO

Something has changed in yūto since we left the temple. Like, like, like he wants to protect us all. May you succeed yūto, but we are still hunters and the end of each of us will not be long in coming. Maybe now, maybe in a day, in a month, in a year, but... but at least we will live a life of unforgettable experiences and that will count in the end when we close our eyes.

(As you think of all this aiko hears yūto say)

YŪTO

I guess we're here.

(Aiko raises her head and looks ahead of her, then she sees the river. Aiko says.

AIKO

Yeah, we're here.

(Yūto approaches the river and sits down on the grass squatting with his back to sora and aiko. Then he says in a calm voice)

YŪTO

This is where we camp for the night, we need to rest and more sora. We will resume tomorrow with the dawn of the sun.

(Aiko agrees with yūto. Evening has come, yūto together with aiko gather some wood and put it into the fire so that it does not go out. Sora sleeps a few feet away from them. Yūto and aiko sit together and discuss)

OUTDOORS, IN THE FOREST BY THE RIVER-NIGHT

AIKO

I never asked you, yūto. Where do you come from?

(Yūto lies down on the grass and looking at the stars up in the sky says)

YŪTO

Who knows? I imagine from a wonderful place with smiling people and wonderful customs, but ... but.

(Aiko lies down beside yūto telling him anxiously)

AIKO

Don't stop, tell me! Tell me more.

(Yūto looks at aiko for a while, closes his eyes and with a smile again opens his eyes saying)

YŪTO

I don't know where I come from, what the history of my parents or my village is. But all I know of this whole story is that two wonderful creatures protected me and raised me as if I were part of their family. Like I was a real member of this family. I had a sister named aiko. She was beautiful and kind, with purple eyes and long yellow hair. While my mother I remember her with brown hair and brown eyes as she always had a beautiful smile of hope on her lips. I grew up in a village beyond the forest near a big mountain, I can say that's where I come from, but. But I would always yearn to face the place where I was born, the place where it all started.

(Aiko in surprise tells yūto)

AIKO

You grew up near the mountain of despair?

(Yūto turns and looks at aiko saying)

YŪTO

In fact, there I met a female demon, she was different from the other demons and that surprised me. She didn't want to eat you, all she wanted was for you to join her looking at the stars together. I wish to meet this female demon again, unfortunately I did not even learn her name.

(Yūto again looks at the stars while aiko puffes her cheeks saying)

AIKO

And, was this female demon you met beautiful?

(Yūto looks with the corner of his eye at aiko saying)

YŪTO

What kind of question is that?

(Aiko turns her back towards yūto asking him again)

AIKO

Nothing, nothing. I just want to learn out of curiosity. Was she beautiful for a demon?

(Yūto gets up from the ground and as he stretches his trunk says to aiko)

YŪTO

She was a beautiful woman, like you and many other girls. Now that I've answered your question, I may as well ask myself, Why do you ask?

(Aiko has blushed and says)

AIKO

Nothing, nothing. None of your business, idiot.

YŪTO

All right, whatever you want, hehe. Anyway, I'm gonna go for a walk. Please take care of sora while I'm gone. I don't want what happened today to happen again.

(Aiko replies to yūto a little awkwardly)

AIKO

You should go.

(Aiko looks at yūto responding while already blushing, then sora's snoring is heard and spoils the whole atmosphere. Yūto starts walking by the river, thinking nothing until he sees a stone in front of him, kicks it and the stone falls into the river. Then he sees other stones and a little further down a waterfall. At that moment he remembers the training he did in a waterfall of stones. He raises four stones from the ground and with a smile as he approaches the waterfall he thinks of the words of his old master from the forest)

OLD MAN

Think, meditate. Your chakras may open within a day, but immediately afterwards they may close again. The facts change as do the answers to these questions.

(After he has got near the waterfall he takes off his blouse and tosses it aside, enters under the waterfall and steadies the stones upon his body. The one stone on the left knee of his leg, the two stones on his two hands and the last on his head. Then he closes his eyes and tries to perceive what is happening around him only by sound. He tries to concentrate only on the sound and every detail of nature, until steps are heard, someone runs and the air grows stronger. Yūto understands that the wind somewhere stops, that it blows upon a body. He opens his eyes sharply, grasps with his left hand the black case and with his right hand the black with red handle from katana. The stones fall down to the ground, and into the river. Yūto thinks)

YŪTO

Damn, now he's found to show up.

(At that moment when yūto is stressed and sweat drips from his face he remembers the words of the old man from the forest)

THE FLASHBACK BEGINS:

OLD MAN

Always remember what you see is not enough. Stick to the sound, it'll never fool you, kid.

RETURN FROM FLASHBACK:

YŪTO

Right. Do not be content with what you see, but only with the sound of nature.

(Yūto closes his eyes and takes an attitude of attack. He stretches back his right leg and brings his body forward. So where he is calm he hears someone running through the dark forest and stepping on a branch, the branch breaks and makes a noise. Then at once he opens his eyes and in a loud voice cries)

YŪTO

FIRE FLASH!

(With a loud step he leaps into the forest while behind his foot appears the purple fire. The fire follows the foot of yūto. When he has got too close to the demon he cries out as he takes katana out of its sheath. The sound is heard when the blade comes out of the sheath and the blade has many Purple lines on it because of the movement)

YŪTO

DIE!

(So he goes to behead the demon who runs through the forest. But at the last moment he sees the demon and so instead of cutting off his head he turns the katana a little upwards resulting to cut off the trunk of a tree. Smoke is gathering without seeing the demon's face. When the smoke is gone yūto sees the female demon whom he had met on the mountain {hibana} with torn clothes and blood flowing from her hands and feet. For a few seconds yūto and the demon looked at each other. Then hibana says)

HIBANA

Sorry to distract you, yūto.

(And he smiles. Yūto is left bone, does not know what to do, then says in a hushed voice surprised)

YŪTO

Demon?

(Hibana smiles closing her eyes sweetly, so answers yūto while a tear rolls down her cheek)

HIBANA

And it's good to see you alive, yūto. You fill me with happiness. You made me very, very happy today in the face of so many bad things that happened to me. Hechee, you saved me once more.
