"Dad wants to talk to all of us tomorrow night," Alexander spoke quietly to me while I was looking for him because he didn't go to rest. He was pensive in his study.
"About what?" I was surprised, and Dad doesn't usually call us all. Cara and I weren't too involved in clan affairs as Cara was more active in the Committee and Cara was active in teaching in the Pyrenees.
"I don't know, but I have a hunch he's going to ask for a diversion."
"Diversion? You mean eternal sleep?"
Alexander was silent. The last time I spoke to him, he said it. It seemed that after these two months, the clan had calmed down again, and the rules were being re-enforced. The Ostrander was getting stronger with an additional 4,000 men, and Father would beg to withdraw and let himself go after Joanne's mother.
I don't know what to say. It could be all true.
