Cara ended up following me back to London early because she was annoyed with her dad.
Alex needs to step back for a moment on this. Cara is not a girl who can be dictated to like that. After all, who likes their private life being watched.
"Alex, didn't you try talking to Cara? Don't dictate to her." I talked alone in his room as we finished breakfast.
"I'm worried about her honey, what if that guy just broke her heart or he means bad things." Now I think Alexander is probably the type of older man who was quite protective of his daughter. I haven't forgotten he's a relic of World War I.
"Cara isn't a stupid girl. You should try to trust her."
"I don't know if I can do it. I've been imagining bad things. You know men can do amazing things sometimes to trick women. I'm afraid he'll break his heart and I'll be the one to be hurt later."
I smiled hearing that.
