Retirement?
The man listened, then turned his gaze towards her. Seeing the longing in her eyes, he responded indifferently—
"Whatever you like."
"But we're only in our thirties, still young. Retirement is a long way off, isn't it?"
Shu Yimo felt she was thinking too far ahead and smiled, adding, "Let's retire at fifty, do what we want to do, Boss Long..."
Upon hearing this, he chuckled softly, his voice deep, "What kind of things do you want to do?"
"A lot, open a big bookstore with tea and music, and preferably by the seaside where every day you can see the misty lighthouse, sails lifting, couples and families playing on the beach..."
Her gaze drifted to the road ahead as she spoke nonchalantly.
"Your temperament is quite suited to be an artistic youth,"
he said with a laugh.
She raised her eyebrows and shook her head, disagreeing, "No, I think I'm suited to be a lazy person. If someone took care of my needs, I definitely wouldn't mind being a freeloader."
