Chapter 25 - Did Everything Come True!?

Ian took the spatula and knocked on the surrounding walls. He wanted to confirm whether there was a separate secret room behind the wall.

He knocked a few times and found that there was no other space behind the solid wall.

He looked around for a long time but found no other exit.

This made Ian a little confused.

It shouldn't be.

The map here indicated that there would be a special reward.

There should be a hidden space…

Ian looked at the countless white bones under his feet.

"No way! Is it hidden under there?"

A famous detective had once said, "After eliminating all the impossibilities, no matter how unbelievable the rest is, it is still the truth."

Ian began to carefully search the floor.

The white bones under his feet were all turned into broken bones...

He felt the ground under his feet was uneven.

Ian pushed away all the broken bones on the ground, and a big stone slab was exposed on the ground.

There were two pull rings at both ends.

A crowbar was inserted in the gap of the stone slab, and it was slightly raised.

From the outside, it was difficult for the flashlight to show what was inside.

Ian took a flare from his waist and threw it in.

Below was a space about the same size as above.

There was a stone platform in the middle with a square box surrounded by reliefs.

It was called a box, but it was a little big,

It was like a big box with sacrifices on it.

Ian had never seen such a sacrificial temple.

There were no hints on the map.

Ian did not know what this space was for.

It was probably a form of sacrifice in ancient Egypt.

Ian made some speculations.

If Professor Schubert saw this, he would be so excited that he would dance and scratch his ears.

He looked around.

Ian could not help but suck in a breath of cold air.

Exquisite murals surrounded this secret chamber.

The murals recorded that… ancient Egyptians had held a sacrifice here. This was probably where the mysterious reward was marked on the map!

Ian carefully observed that there was nothing else around him, only murals.

The art of painting in these murals was very high. The composition was gorgeous and lifelike.

It was a rare masterpiece.

This observation had wasted a lot of time.

The people upstairs were probably waiting anxiously.

Ian pushed the shovel of the excavated ruins on the other side of the large stone slab.

Only then did he open an entrance for one person.

At that moment, Ian did not hesitate. He directly used a spade shovel and squeezed through the gap.

He quickly came inside.

The space was only three or four meters high.

It was less than 100 meters away. Ian walked two steps at a time and arrived in an instant.

The stones under his feet were a little wet.

As an old hand, Ian knew that this place must be close to the underground water vein.

It was probably connected to the underground part of the pyramid.

Ian went in to check with a flashlight.

He didn't look nervous behind his gas mask.

He opened the casket and saw a corpse, or better, a mummy made in ancient Egypt with special embalming techniques.

This kind of mummy might look like a corpse, but it was worth as much as the treasure.

If one brought this kind of mummy outside, some museums, galleries, and collectors would bid for it.

Ian would naturally not do such a thing.

However, the mummy's hands held a golden key.

It looked extremely precious.

Ian clasped his hands together, indicating that he had offended him.

Then, he took the golden key from the mummy's hands.

The moment he took the golden key, a sudden burst of dangerous aura made Ian alert.

A strange snake suddenly came out of the mummy's mouth. The scales on the snake's body were shining, and there was a black meat crown on its head. It was about 30 centimeters long. It flicked its body and pounced at Ian's face.

In a split second, although Ian had already reacted, he could not dodge in time.

The flashlight in his hand was like a rod, slamming the strange snake against the wall!

The snake hit the wall, and the impact caused a pool of blood to burst out on the wall. It then slid down softly.

"F*ck you! You scared me to death!"

Ian sat on the ground, still a little afraid of the earlier scene.

Although Ian had used great force to strike the snake on the ground, it was still not completely dead. It kept rolling on the ground.

Ian took out a dagger from his waist.

With a casual swing, he nailed the snake's head to the floor.

The strange snake's tail swayed violently from side to side as if it wanted to break free. It knew that it had used all its strength and lay weakly on the ground.

Ian calmly observed from the side for a few minutes and confirmed the death of the strange snake. Only then did he heave a sigh of relief.

"Damn it! As expected, the hidden reward is not easy to get!" Ian said with some lingering fear.

He noticed that the venom the strange snake had secreted before dying had corroded the floor.

If this kind of snake bit him, he would probably die before he could react.

He could not stay here any longer.

If anything happened, he would go up first!

At this time, Ian climbed up along the rope.

Just like that, he climbed all the way until he reached the stone door and whistled twice.

The excavators on top quickly pulled the rope up.

Soon, they pulled Ian to the ground.

Upon seeing Ian come out of the hole in a sorry state, everyone subconsciously clapped.

No matter how warm the welcome ceremony was, it would not be excessive for such a brave warrior.

Aika was also thrilled at this time.

Just as she wanted to go up and welcome him, she could not help but frown.

"Ian, where did you get the blood on your body? It doesn't look like it's yours?"

The protective suit on Ian's body had a lot of the blood that the strange snake had spilled as it struggled.

"I encountered a strange snake at the bottom and killed it."

Ian's tone was a little hurried.

He remembered what that strange snake was.

"Clear sight of Ah Han—Giant-Eyed Snake!"

This kind of snake was extinct. How could it appear here?

Aika looked a little strange at this time.

"Isn't this the snake from your novel? Don't you know that you can predict relics and species now?"

Aika looked at Ian's serious expression and joked.

Aika's words made Ian think of an even more terrifying possibility.

'What I wrote in my novel should have been… This snake had never actually existed on Earth'

He had only thought of adding it to his novel by accident.

Nonetheless, it existed in this world, and it even appeared before him.

This was incredible.

Could it be...

Ian touched the back of his head in distress.

He had written a relic novel.

Could it be true!?
