Chapter 6 - Determined

(sorry for the short chapter I got a bit busy today. enjoy)

Oz woke up.

He was still in the bathtub, but the water had gotten cold. Asmodeus was standing directly above him.

Oz yelped.

"Is something the matter master?"

Asmodeus looked concerned as Oz pressed himself as far into his chest as his knees would go.

"Nothing's wrong. I'm just a little..." His voice trailed off as he stared into space.

"Master?"

Oz looked at Asmodeus.

"What the fuck was that daydream. I need you to actually explain, what is happening and why it has anything to do with me."

Oz was confused, but even more so vulnerable and scared.

Asmodeus sighed again. This time Oz said nothing about it.

"I'll make it easy to understand," Asmodeus's tone was kind, but his words condescending. "You are the 12th reincarnation of the moon deity Aysel. You can use magic stemming from the moon. Your main objective in this life is to find your lover and purge the world of darkness together. Does that make sense?"

Oz nodded. Truth be told, none of this made sense to him.

"How do I use this magic?"

Asmodeus looked long and hard at Oz, dissecting him with his glare.

"Your body is prepared, but I do not think you are ready."

Oz was getting frustrated at the condescension in the words.

"Ready for what?"

"You must reach a certain point of your awakening for your mind to be able to handle the strain of summoning Trella moon magic. You have not yet reached that state. Training could compensate for natural awakening, however overuse of Trella will harm your body. Also, before you fully awaken, use of your powers will cause damage to you, the same way it did when you protected yourself earlier today.

Oz grumbled under his breath. "Protected myself. I killed three people."

The two sat im silence, the bathwater getting cold. Oz stood, looking for a towel with his eyes.

"Let me master." Asmodeus pulled a fluffy white bathrobe from what seemed to be out of nowhere. Oz didn't even question it.

He let Asmodeus wrap him in the robe, surprised at how soon it had taken him to get used to being waited on. He did not seem to notice the lingering touch Asmodeus left as he pulled the robe over Oz's shoulders.

Oz was determined to prove to Asmodeus, and to himself, that he was ready. Ready for whatever nonsense was headed his way. After all, he had just killed three people, and by doing so set himself free from his torment of a school life. He knew he was stronger than he was given credit for. Oz looked up at Asmodeus.

"So, when do we start training?"
