Hazel then thought of something and nestled in his arms before bitterly saying, "But you know, this might be our last night together…"
When her words fell, he felt devastated. Maybe she's right. That this might be the last night they have for each other, and so why not spend it wisely? If he wouldn't touch her tonight, who knows who will have her as his wife?
He looked at her and took her waist, responding, "Why are you making it sound sad?"
She giggled and her eyes shone with sadness. He couldn't help but to touch her eyes and she closed her eyes to feel the warmth coming from his hand. He laughed sweetly when he saw her behaving like that, and he fell harder.
