I flew alone to Öræfajökull, the highest volcanic mountain in Iceland. I knew Nidhogg was there as the mental connections he had used against me left traces of himself in my mind. And now that he was injured, and on the run, his countenance had fallen, and he became more susceptible to detection.
Nidhogg felt, for the first time in eons, his mortality, and knew that it was possible to be destroyed. Furthermore, he knew that we, my friends, allies, and myself were not afraid of him anymore.
Dilong had helped me convince the others to let me go, alone, to face him. He knew of the importance of my mission and knew what I should do to stop this evil from destroying the world. It was, after all, written about in ancient dragon texts, and was happening now. It was my task and my task alone.
