Screaming with all his breath during his free fall, Isaac could have missed the strange voice that had just spoken to him if it didn't count on the fact that the voice had just spoken directly to him in his mind.
- "Welcome, dear Administrator"
Confused, in shock, but above all still falling, Isaac could not concentrate on the meaning of this message but was focused on a single thought. A thought that could be summed up in a very simple character:
"?"
As if to respond to his thoughts, suddenly, a light appeared in the distance beneath Isaac. Intense light piercing the darkness around her, it seemed to come closer and closer, emitting a gentle heat on Isaac's skin.
Subconsciously, he then began to swim as if he were in water, sweeping the air around him in an attempt to get closer to the light. Although not having an immediate effect, Isaac still felt like it was working.
"Please. If there is a God, I beg of you. Don't let it be another demented thing or I feel like I'm going to shit on me," he thought as he watched the light.
Strangely though, the closer he got to it, Isaac felt more and more relaxed, as if he were getting closer to a familiar place. The soft warmth of light slowly replacing itself like that of the warmth of a mother's arms embracing her son.
His mind slowly wandering, Isaac felt a pleasant, restful sensation, like the one felt just before falling asleep. A feeling of anesthesia between sleeping and waking up, a feeling of freedom and floating.
Although here, the feeling of flotation was surely due to the fact that Isaac had literally been in free fall for a few minutes already.
As he continued his descent, his thoughts began to calm down. Potentially because of how the light felt or probably because he was starting to get used to his endless fall, Isaac then began to think seriously about what had just happened.
"Alright alright ... let's start from the beginning."
First of all, the message from a certain Admin who had previously appeared on the blue window. A message much more mysterious than its author: "Admin for Administrator. But the Administrator of what? Of the Earth? Of the world? Of reality?"
That assumption seemed unrealistic, but after seeing the world turn to dust before his eyes, any unrealistic assumption no longer seemed to be. Whether he was told that in the end, he never existed or that he was dead, Isaac wouldn't be surprised.
"He said he couldn't wait any longer," with that thought Isaac started to think a little more. A postulate could be formulated from this: "Either he was running out of time, or he was impatient and simply did not want to wait any longer".
From this postulate, a new question was raised: "What could have made him so impatient or made him run out of time?" Assuming the Admin was an "Administrator of the World" from there it was hard to imagine what could force him to run out of time.
To think of something that could jeopardize the entity that seemed to rule the world was far above Isaac could imagine. So he decided to abandon the idea for now. Thus, the remaining scenario would therefore be that the Admin lacked patience and could not wait any longer. But why ?
All sorts of hypotheses popped up in Isaac's mind, but the one that seemed to be the most probable was related to what the System had written: "I was in a simulation?"
Starting from this statement, then the world he lived in, the Earth in 2021, humanity, its inhabitants and its history were in a simulation? Isaac began to weigh the pros and cons. The race, alien or not, that produced such a simulation must have been extremely advanced. Probably not human.
"The world I come from was destroyed and I ended up here and the light in front of me should theoretically be either another world or another person. But so ..."
Suddenly, a revelation lit up Isaac's mind who began to look more closely around him and especially the darkness that surrounded him, searching for something. And just when he started to doubt, he found what he was looking for.
"Another light!" he thought, uttering a slight cry of joy.
After a few seconds of searching, the darkness seemed to contain many lights, more or less gleaming but so faint that they were easily confused with the darkness and obscured by the great white light that Isaac was heading towards.
"But then, isn't my world the only one that was faked?" he suggested. If his world had just been destroyed by the Administrator and he was heading towards what looked like the greatest source of light and therefore probably the "main world", then the other simulations should soon be gone. .
Still, looking around, the dim lights didn't seem to go away. They seemed stable and still. Isaac then began to look around in search of another person like him. Potentially, one of his classmates?
Alas for him, he was alone in the darkness which was beginning to be engulfed by the intense light towards which he was heading. Soon he wouldn't be able to distinguish anything else.
"Maybe I can change direction?" he wondered, trying to alter his fall to move towards one of the distant points in the void. But alas without much success, his path remained unchanged. "Might as well go full throttle then. I would probably have more answer there if I find someone knowledgeable ..."
With these last thoughts, Isaac then put himself in a stake position, as if to accelerate his fall towards the light. Not knowing if this was having any effect or not, the white light then began to sweep over him.
He then felt his clothes start to fall apart and disintegrate before his eyes. His watch, his t-shirt and his pants disappearing in fine particles of light.
"?"
It was his last thought when he finally stepped into the light, just as a new female voice sounded again to Isaac's left, a voice different from the first. She was much more charming and warm with a tinge of joy and emotions:
- "I am happy to see you again, Excellency."
- "Uh ... nice to see you ... to see?" Isaac replied reflexively, slowly opening his eyes to see where he was without having time to look at the person who had just spoken to him.
Isaac's eyes widened in surprise as he looked down, totally forgetting the voice that had just spoken to him. The intense light that had just replaced the darkness was in turn replaced by an incredible sight.
A breathtaking view for anyone. Under Isaac was a huge plain punctuated by a few forests, lakes and hills. In the distance, one could discern large and majestic mountains, the summit of which was dotted with a white down.
Isaac stood high up in the empty blue sky above him, soft, dotted clouds below him. Of course, he continued to fall which reminded him of something then.
"Wait ... wait! I'm going to crash!". His cry of fear was then suddenly transposed to reality and immediately, Isaac began to scream in amazement already imagining the scene that would happen shortly.
