When I realised that I had seen that scene before, my body went cold. My darkest Komorebi cafe visions showed me days ago. The memory of Bomyu when he was peeking inside the huge door with an hourglass symbol of it flashed in my mind again. I remembered that he also recorded the moment on his phone. He was hiding the magical star book from a man who then I realised that was me.
It wasn't magic. At the end of the memory, there was blood on the walls of the room since Bomyu killed the other person who was me.
The story was about to repeat itself.
When the stars began dying, and the magical days started to be lost to sight, I was stuck in a locked up room with my passed out friend Paikek and my liar friend Bomyu.
Bomyu walked onto me with an unfamiliar expression on his face. He seemed like a stranger to me, not my friend of 15 years.
"You already know what will happen next." He was speaking in a low voice.
"Yes I know." I looked right into his eyes and I added; "But I'm not sure if you know. Some things are going to change."
"You can't change something that the time door showed you. It will happen anyways." He put his hand on my neck, pushing me to the wall.
"Well, I can't change it but the book can." My mouth curled up as I opened the book, putting my hand onto it.
The star book preserved great powers. Mrs Kimiko told me about most of them but I believed there were a lot more. I closed my eyes, Bomyu's hand on my neck, my neck on the wall, and my hand on the book.
The book started shining green while Bomyu was squeezing my neck. Lights enlightened the dark messy room.
While my eyes were shut, I saw a series of moments from different periods of time; from the moment when I met my friends on the train, to the moment when we lost Yonsan in a magical portal years before I met my friends. It appeared confusing but time wasn't just a line. And, not every recollection emerged at a unique time. Nevertheless, it was excessively complicated to understand concepts like that.
The book was only shining green while I was almost out of breath.
A green magical surge flared around the star book in my hands, shoving Bomyu further away from me. He fell over the wooden floor while the spikes on his back pierced into the ground.
The book rose above from my hands as it glimmered green. It started shaking consecutively when it turned around.
Bomyu watched the book shining, he looked shocked. Then, he tried to catch it. However, when he touched it, the book knocked him back away from it.
I pointed my arm onto the flying star book glowing in the air, causing it to glow brighter.
"What are you doing? This isn't supposed to happen." Bomyu tried to get up but he was nailed to the wooden floor by the spikes on his back.
"Don't you know that the book has the ability to change time." I smirked as I stepped towards him, and I added:
"I didn't know either."
Some kind of green magical electricity appeared around the flying star book. It grew around the book creating a bright orb of energy which looked like a portal.
"No, this isn't right." Bomyu picked up his phone from his pocket, and unlocked it while he was pinned to the ground.
He began watching something from his phone. I wondered, laying next to him as I started to watch it with him.
He was watching the videos he recorded at the Komorebi Cafe. And, it was showing the door with an hourglass symbol on it. In the video, it was clear that the person who was trying to get the book from Bomyu was me.
"It's true. I will kill you in the end." He paused the video as he spoke in a low voice.
"The book will change it." I stood up, holding my hand towards to green book.
The magical green energy twisted around the green book, creating a portal on the ceiling of the room. The circling energy was absorbing the lights into the portal.
I jumped into the portal, without thinking that I had a friend named Seanyung who had to fight with the Karuma Panda, a friend named Paikek who was passed out because he had deep painful scars, and a friend named Bomyu who lied to me.
All three of them were nearly gone for me. While jumping into the portal, I had no hope of seeing them ever again.
Flashing lights raised everywhere inside the portal. Not only just green, but there were also blue and yellow flashing glints. It felt like I was flying into emptiness or a journey that may never end.
I was pretty sure about not seeing my friends ever again. However, the portal was my only chance to escape; my last opportunity to find my friend Yonsan.
Eventually, the lights stopped flickering after a short journey in the green emptiness of the portal.
I found myself at an endlessly green plateau where there were pink clouds over the unbroken horizon. The plains were coated by small blue flowers, the ones I happened to see many times before.
There was a giant tree in the middle of the plains. The branches of the enormous tree were covered with blue and purple leaves, and it looked remarkably aged. I stepped toward the tree as my shoes got stained by a blue liquid every time I stepped on a blue flower.
The blue colour of the sky was noticeable. It was because of the shining sun in the middle of the blue atmosphere.
There was someone standing under the elder tree. He was wearing beige trousers and an oversized white hoodie.
As I got closer to the tree over the green plateau, purple leaves falling from the branches became more visible.
"Karu." The person called my name in a familiar voice.
When I walked close enough, I could see the smiling face of my blue-haired friend Yonsan.
"Long time no see!"
