(Serina pov)
I fell asleep cuddling Jax. I did a huge thing but denounce my pack and joining his. I wonder what my dad will say. Jax and I haven't mated yet so for the time being I'm just another wolf in his pack. He keeps calling me his Luna and one day soon hopefully I will be.
I start to drift into a deep sleep. I see my wolf standing before me. She looking at me her fur is completely black threw and threw, her yellow eyes glowing as she looks at me. My head starts to feel as if I'm spinning. A fog rolls in surrounding me, I can no longer see my wolf. After a while the fog clears and I'm in a strange place.
It looks like a wide open meadow but there is nothing but grass. It's dark almost too dark. I look to the sky and only see stars no moon. The way the star are spread across the sky it's almost like no moon is here. I look around for some kind of clue of where I am or how I got here. There is nothing. Then I notice I don't feel my wolf, I start to panic.
"It's okay Princess don't panic," my father's voice comes from behind me. I spin around and I see him. I try to run to him but I never seem to get close. "Dad what's going on?" I ask him with a confused voice. My father face fills with sadness. He looks so unhappy. "Dad I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry! I know I should have talk to you before I left the pack but I meet my mate and I just want to be with him." I try to explain. My father looks at me with sadness and hurt in his eyes. Guilt shoots threw me.
"My dear daughter, it has seems I've made a mistake and for that I am truly sorry and I hope one day you can for give me..." He starts to explain. Okay now I'm confused. "What are you talking about? And where are we?" I ask him realizing we still in a strange place. My father looks to the sky above, "this is the resting place of all the true night alphas." His eyes find me again, they fill with pride as he points to me, "you my sweet daughter are the next true night alpha and with this you have the power of all those before you." I was so confused, what was he talking about. The next alpha is Carter not me. I'm the youngest plus no longer part of the pack. "Dad your not making any sense. How am I the next alpha of nightstar pack?"
My father shakes his head and looks to the stars again, "every star in this sky has been a true black alpha but not all have been part of nightstar pack. In fact I am greatful you have broken free from your brother. True black alpha are born to lead to be Alphas and take orders from no one but our mates." He closes his eyes, "the night you where born I was brought here, all the alphas where awake and they told me the goddess has chosen the next Alpha and their power alone will be greater then all the previous alphas." He opens his eyes and looks at me, "Serina you where chosen by the Goddess her self." "I was chosen by the Goddess of moon, Artemis?" I ask my father trying to understand more of what my father is telling me.
"No the Goddess of the moon made all wolves but ones made in her imagine is the white alphas. Their fur whiter then the moon and eyes bluer then crystal." My father explains as I think of Jax's wolf. He must be a white alpha. "We are black alphas, our fur blacker then the night and our eyes sign a bright yellow like the stars. We were made by the Goddess Athena. I don't have much time left. Be safe my daughter and if you ever need me, just remember I will be here watching over you ...." The wind blows and he fades away. "DAD!" I yell to the empty space, he's gone. I look to the sky and a new star shines above me... Dad. I fall to my knees and cry. My father's gone, he no longer walks this earth. I feel so alone, I drop my head into my hands and cry.
"Dry your tears my child," a power but sweet voice rang out. I lift my head from my hands, a woman stands before me. I feel like I'm looking in the mirror her hair and eyes match my own. Her presents calms and energizes me. She stands tall in an amored dress with a spear and shield. I feel like I've been waiting for her my whole life. "Who are you?" I ask in a weak voice. Felt wrong to question her. A small smile touches her lips. "I am the Goddess Athena. And you my child are the chosen one. Made with in my image and with more power then those before you. Even though you hold great power challenges will still find you and your greatest battle has yet to come." She walks closer to me and pulls me to my feet. She lifts my face to look into her eyes, "Serina a battle nears, many may be lost. Just remember you are an Alpha and with your mate you can over come all challenges and all wars. Now it's time to wake up...."
I shoot up, breathing hard. Jax sits up next to me, sleep still dances in his eyes. "Hey.." he looks into my eyes. The sleepiness is quickly replaced with worry, he cups my cheek with his hand using his thumb to wipe away my tears. "Serina what's wrong? What happened?" He studies my face. With his words it hits me, "my fathers dead..." My voice weak and the tears start again. Jax wraps his arms around me and holds me as I cry. I pull back and look him in the eyes, "I have to go back..... My mother she will be so broken and my brothers... I'm sorry Jax I have to go to them." I start to climb off the bed when Jax grabs my hand. I feel some of my worry leave me and comfort fill me. "I'll come with you," he looks at me with love and concern. I shake my head, I couldn't bring him home right now not with my father gone and Carter becoming alpha. I couldn't chance him getting hurt. "I have to go alone, please understand just for today. My family needs me," I say with a pleading voice. His hand falls and he nods, "please be careful and keep your mind link open." His eyes held understanding and sadness. I kissed him on the lips and pure Bliss flows threw my body. I pull back, "I'll be back as soon as I can.... I love you Jax." I run out of the room before he can say anything. I sneak past Blake who is snoring on the couch.
I run to the forest and let my wolf take over. I feel more powerful, stronger. I take off to my home land. Rain starts to fall around me. I feel a push in my head, I open my mind link. His voice fill my head, his words giving me more power as I race to nightstar lands...'I love you, Serina. Return to me soon.'
