"Daffa, Rina, how come you guys did it? Aren't you like cats and dogs, never getting along?" Likha was surprised by the two friends, Rina and Daffa just smiled shyly. They looked at each other and looked at Likha with a flushed face.
"We also don't know Likha, everything just flows. We are very comfortable together, that's why we are currently trying to have this relationship. Likha prays for us, I hope we can live our togetherness until we get married..hehe" Daffa felt embarrassed, while Likha and Rina smiled seeing Daffa's behavior.
"Oh Allah Daf, we just started school. You guys have been thinking about getting married, but I always pray for you. What the hell doesn't make these two friends of mine." Likha then hugged the two of them, Daffa and Rina were surprised he was made. Usually, Likha didn't want to be close to Daffa.
"Likha, don't you think you want to touch me? Usually, you will get angry when I approach you?" Hearing Daffa's words, Likha smiled.
"Because you have gone out with Rina, so you don't have a chance to PDKT with me, hahaha ..." The three friends played in the river until noon and they then ate the lunch that Likha brought. They ate together, then the three separated. Likha also told Daffa and Rina that tomorrow morning she will return to Bekasi because the day after tomorrow she will return to school.
"Likha, be careful! Sorry, we can't take you tomorrow, because we're going to take a study tour with our school group." Rina hugged Likha very tightly. The two of them will return to separate and meet in the upcoming semester holidays.
"Yes Rina, Daffa, you guys take it easy. I'm going to be picked up by my friend, so it's okay. You two have fun, now I'm going home first. I want to pack for tomorrow." Likha and the three of them walked back to their respective homes.
Arriving at Likha's house, immediately took a shower, then prayed dhuhr. She then packed up the things to take to the dormitory, Likha didn't have many things to bring. He only brought a change of clothes, because everything was covered by the hostel. When finished, Likha took a short nap. After all, his mother was picking up his father, when he woke up, his father and mother would have come back.
"Knock ... knock ... knock ..." came the sound of knocking on the door. Likha opened her eyes, then washed her face and opened the door to her house. It turned out that it was Mr. Agus who came. He was the head of the neighborhood unit in his village, but what made Likha wonder why Mr. Agus came with a policeman? Likha's feelings became anxious at once.
"Pak Agus, please come in sir. What do you need, sir? But sorry, mom and dad are not at home, sir." Likha caught a streak of sadness in Pak Agus' eyes, while the police who were beside him looked down. Looks like they have something to say.
"Likha, we're just a moment. No need to go in. We are here, we want to tell you that your parents had an accident, son. They are now in the hospital, so we are picking you up. We are going to the hospital now." Like being struck by lightning when Likha heard the news delivered by Pak Agus. His body weakened and he almost fell. Pak Agus immediately caught Likha's thin body and took her into the police car. They didn't have much time, Likha also didn't have time to close the door of her house when they left. Pak Agus then called his wife to help Likha close the door of his house.
"Likha, you have to be strong, son. All these trials will bring wisdom. You must believe that God will not test beyond the limits of his servant's abilities." Pak Agus calmed Likha down and now Likha is even more confused. What do you mean by Mr. Agus speaking like that? Likha wanted to ask questions, but they didn't have the chance, they had already arrived at the hospital. Likha, Pak Agus, as well as the police pack who had picked him up earlier got out of the car.
Then, the policeman walked first. They walked down the hall after hallway, until they came to a room that Likha had never imagined before. Instantly, tears flowed out of her eyes. He still hoped they would turn around and leave here, but what he hoped didn't happen because a few moments later a doctor and a policeman came out of the morgue which was in front of Likha.
"Sir, what do you all mean to bring Likha here? Where are my mother and father? They are fine, right?" Likha asked, starting to sob. He felt his body getting weaker due to the shock he was receiving at this moment.
"Sorry, kid, but your parents, we mean your father and mother died at the scene. So we checked again when we got here and indeed both of them had their last breaths at the scene of the crime." After the doctor finished speaking, Likha's consciousness immediately disappeared.
He collapsed in front of the morgue where his parents were now lying. Pak Agus listened to the police's explanation with a sad heart. Both parents were hit by a truck while returning from their relative's house and both died on the spot. Now Likha doesn't have anyone anymore. Pak Agus also sighed heavily. He tried to revive Likha and was going to take the child to see the bodies of his parents for the last time.
"Thank God, you're awake. Let's see the bodies of your parents for the last time," Mr. Agus led Likha into the morgue. There lay the two people he loved so much. One is the mother who gave birth to him and the other is the father who always works hard to make ends meet. The two of them fell asleep with a smile on their faces.
The two pale faces fell asleep peacefully. There were no wounds on their faces, it was just that their ears were bleeding. It is true that the wound that Likha's parents suffered was a very serious internal wound. While his body is only bruised in several places. Likha slowly approached the two of them, she saw one by one the pale faces. Likha is between the two now.
"Father, mother, why are you two alone. Why did you leave me alone? Then how should I live after you two leave?" Likha's tears grew heavier. The people who were around Likha at this time also could not hold back their sorrow to see this little girl now living alone. Likha then hugged the bodies of her mother and father one by one, no hysterical tears escaped her thin lips. But the wet eyes had told the viewer that the girl was very brokenhearted and this was precisely what made Pak Agus, the doctor and the two policemen join in tears. Pak Agus approached Likha and took her outside.
"Enough kid, they have to be taken care of and washed. We go out first, you will tell the residents to prepare the funeral of your parents." Pak Agus, Likha, and the two policemen then left. Pak Agus and the two policemen then left Likha to discuss some matters that had to be resolved. Meanwhile, the doctor told the corpse to take care of the bodies of Likha's parents.
Now, Likha is contemplating alone in front of the corpse review room. She looks out of the window when her parents are being bathed. When finished, Likha was invited to come in to hug her parents again before being wrapped in the shroud. Likha is now in front of the doctor's office, waiting for a death certificate that is being drafted by the hospital. Pak Agus also finished with his business and now approached Likha, he hugged her tightly. Now, Likha is no longer crying, but her eyes stare at the room where her parents' bodies are being taken care of.
"Pak Agus, thank you for your help, Likha, you also ask you to help Likha to take care of all this until it's over because Likha doesn't have anyone anymore." Likha then looked down, her eyes very tired after crying for so long. His body was also limp, he had no strength now. Moreover, his heart was very hurt, he could only sit leaning back in Mr. Agus' arms.
"Yes, son, you calm down. You will help take care of everything. Now we go home, son. Both of your parents' bodies are already in the ambulance, just waiting for you and we will take them home." Pak Agus and Likha then immediately boarded the ambulance after the awaited letter was completed. Likha and Pak Agus were in the ambulance carrying the bodies of Likha's parents.
