Cassian wore a satisfied smile, looking down at the guy. It bugged him that he couldn't see the look in his eyes. That's what he revels in the most, the emotions running through the eyes of his prey. He wore a pair of leather gloves and reached out, he brushed away the hair from his prey's face then gently reached behind his head and pulled down the blindfold. He smiled warmly at him as his prey squinted to let his eyes adjust to the sudden light.
"What's your name?" He asked sweetly. 'No need to spook him just yet', he thought in amusement. They had a long way to go before they got to the torture part, but that all depended on his prey's answers. 'His prey needed to know that small little detail though' Cassian thought in schadenfreude. Cause then the prey will start spewing all the shit he thinks Cassian wants to hear instead of the truth.
"Garrett," he croaked then cleared his throat to make his voice clearer.
"I'll call you Gary. Is that okay, Gary?" Cassian asked with a creepy smile. Gary nodded quickly. Cassian dragged a chair that was across from Gary closer to him and sat down with the back of the chair to his front. He leaned his arms on the back of the chair and gave Gary a welcoming smile. "So, Gary, are you married?" He asked as he tilted his head, acting as if he was genuinely interested. He was far from it.
"No, sir," he said meekly. Cassian laughed out loud and so did the other gang members in the warehouse.
"No, Gary, don't call me that. That's my father's title. He'd have killed you by now if he heard you addressing me like that," Cassian said with a pissed off look. But he still carried the sickly sweet smile like it was permanently plastered on his face.
" Sorry, I won't do it again," he said as he looked down. He was scared and he didn't hide it. The stench coming from him was enough to tell everyone in that room that he had at some point pissed himself, clearly scared out of his wits. The thought of a grown ass man peeing in his pants was utterly hilarious to Cassian. He knew the kind of fear he instilled in the hearts of people was something a normal person couldn't handle. He couldn't care any less though, instead he wanted to cause more of that fear. It was that fear that drove him to do what he wanted, it was that fear that made him feel ecstatic. He always wanted more. He craved it. Almost as if he was addicted to it, like a lethal drug.
He looked over at Damien who was leaning against the wall to his left. He smiled sweetly. Damien nodded softly, pushed himself off the wall and walked through the door right next to him into a room at the back. He soon came out with a two cups of be hot tea.
"Oh, Gary, I hope you don't mind, I'm suddenly craving tea," he said as he reached for the cup in Damien's left hand. Gary looked over at Damien with fear in his eyes and then to the remaining cup in his hand. He turned back to Cassian to find him already looking at him. "Want some?" asked Cassian with an expectant smirk. He nodded. Cassian signaled for someone to untie his hands.
"Thank you," Gary whispered softly as he rubbed his wrists then nodded politely at Damien as he took the cup. He looked over at Cassian who was already sipping his tea slowly. He looked at his own cup with doubt. Could it be poisoned? He knew he had wronged and messed with the wrong person and he vowed to be a better person, if he survived, that is. Cassian noticed his hesitance and laughed.
"It's not poisoned if that's what you're worried about," he said with a warm smile. "Here's what" he said as he looked at Gary's cup. "Let's switch cups, you already saw that I was drinking mine, right? So it can't be poisoned, right?" Gary nodded. Cassian once again smiled warmly then nodded.
"Hmm," he hummed, "I don't take sugar in my tea, would you like some?" He asked. Gary nodded again. He had no reason to doubt him anymore. He just needed to be cautious with whatever he did and said from then on. He had realized he was treading on the edge of a cliff and one wrong move could send him to the doors of hell.
"Just one thing, it's probably hot and it's going to burn going down, but please don't spill it. I don't like dirty things, you see," he said as if revealing one of his various traits. Gary nodded quickly, without hesitation. He knew he couldn't afford to offend Cassian again. He quickly took a few sips and choked, eyes widening in shock and pain, his throat burning unbearably.
