Thematic Origin: Curse Series is supposed to represent the duality of humanity, that being the idea of their desires and the concept of self-actualization. Each Curse Series is supposed to show how each of its core tenants (Pride, Wrath, Greed, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth) all interact with each other to help achieve a goal.
Purist Abilities: (Pride and Lust) are seen in the world as generally the most rare and "untainted" of the Curse Abilities from the different Codex's
Curse Series Superbia (Pride) Is supposed to be the representation of Humanity's Self-Actualization allowing them to create and control the elements of their world as if they themselves were gods. These two classes of ability are referred to as Manipulation and Manifestation, respectively.
Curse Series Luxuria (Lust): Is supposed to represent humanity's constant struggle to achieve their latent desires. What makes this ability more special is that it only has one ability, the manipulation of the mind. This can be done or made stronger if the person has a better understanding of their opponent's desires, as a large group of people in Luxa are experienced in finding those desires and trapping people within their minds.
Artisan Abilities (Greed, Wrath, Envy) are seen as more common abilities, usually picked up by the common man in their lesser forms generally to survive. These are more tailored to work and art, rather than combat.
Curse Series Avaritia (Greed): Is supposed to represent the idea that with material possessions one can reach self-actualization and the duality of it being that some people's desires are to own a single possession. This is the most common of Curse Series Codex and is mainly used in 2 forms: Alchemy and Materialization. Most Nobles of Avari use Materialization, while the common person uses Alchemy. Both are useful in combat, but are discouraged by law except for certain situations like duels.
Curse Series Ira (Wrath): is meant to represent the emotion that comes when Self-Actualization cannot be achieved. This is shown clearly as this ability takes the emotion of its user and converts it into a self-destructive force of power in its single ability: Enhancement. Mainly used by the Demon Clans of Satania and average workers to amplify the strength of different limbs, but can't be sustained for long unless the user has a high pain tolerance or a supreme control of their emotions.
Curse Series Invidia (Envy): Is meant to represent the desire for what other people have in its literal form, allowing the user to adopt the form of any living thing, whether human, demon, or beast. It's generally seen as on a higher level than Avaritia and Ira due to it being an artful ability and people generally like the look of pretty things. The exact ability is known as Transformation.
