Chapter 1 - 1. Fast of Destroyed

The homes of the citizens were burned down. Bodies littered everywhere. Whether it was the smoke from the fire that poisoned them or the knife draw that came from the palace army.

"Let me go!" screamed a young man being forcibly brought into the palace by two guards. Blood is being drained from his temple. Also, the bruising in his eyes made him a little foggy.

When he got inside, he saw the King sitting on his throne, smiling down at him. The palace guard made him kneel and look up at the King on the throne.

"I told you I would destroy the city in just one night," the King said.

"You're is the stupidest KKing I've ever known. Is there a king who deliberately destroys his kingdom but you?" the man exclaimed sharply.

"It's either you or me. Only the city you're leading is mine. It won't affect the state that I'm currently running."

After that, the man was taken to the dungeon. There are already people from his town who are still alive even if there are only a few, at least someone still alive.

"You guys all right?" said the man when the guard left the prison.

"Geoff, geoff, you still alive?" asked one of the residents.

A young man got out of the elevator along with the secretary and his bodyguard in the back. With a smile that signaled the pride that had just emerged from him.

"You're amazing, Jerry."

"It's also because of you, Megi."

Jerry had just finished his presentation and made a big boss of the Dugeon City is biggest firm. This is the number of times he's won the project. However, earlier, it was from smaller companies.

"See you tomorrow," said his secretary as a long-standing luxury car pulled up right in front of the hotel.

Jerry nodded, then turned to face his bodyguards in black. They bowed a little to show some respect before jerry left the office. Afterward, Jerry entered his car to return home.

Jerry looked out the window and smiled as the driver started running his car.

"I wanna go to the Almero!" Jerry demanded from his driver.

"Yes, Sir," said the driver who had been faithful to him, Daren.

Half an hour later, they arrived in front of the hotel. Daren quickly woke his master until he woke up. Jerry opened his eyes, then realized he had reached his destination.

Jerry tidied up his body, then jumped out of the car. As she entered the hotel, she was warmly greeted by the servants and guards there. One attendant was carrying a tray of cold drinks and a warm towel. He gave it to jerry, who thanked him immediately.

And then, the man walked toward the elevator. Many people noticed it from top to bottom at that time because the items it wore were branded brands. Although living in the same hotel, certainly their classes are distinguished based on the rooms they rent. Only the upper classes can rent rooms with the best facilities because it's not cheap.

Jerry pressed number 27. After waiting a few minutes, the elevator door opened. It directly connects to a room before another door leads to a room. He smiled at his two friends waiting on the couch in the room.

"Congratulations, Jerry!" screamed a woman who burst into her arms. Jerry laughed as well as one of his other friends who was a man.

"Grace, stop hugging him!" said Jerry's other friends.

Grace took off her embrace over jerry. "Are you jealous, Elan?" Grace whispered to her ex-boyfriend. Merely grunt, an annoyed grunt.

Jerry giggled as he walked toward the sofa. Neither does anyone realize it?

"Hey! Why are you laughing like that? You're mocking me?" asked Elan, almost angry.

"Oh, no. Just want to laugh," Jerry said with great difficulty. Then he sat down next to her, scolding and drinking water on a table that belonged to no one. Her scolding was a protest, but she was dismissed because she didn't want to get in a bad mood.

Elan and Grace have been good friends with him for about five years. Jerry met them the first time he booked a room at the Almero's hotel. At the time, Jerry was still very confused about the type of room he would order. Then they came to pick out the best room and gave him directions. Until now, they have been friends with Jerry.

"Elan, you should to move on from me quickly," Grace said casually.

"You haven't moved on?" Jerry asked with curiosity.

Elan and Grace have been dating for two years. They broke up about a year ago. So, Jerry thinks that Elan has moved on from Grace. Whereas he saw Grace who no longer seemed to have any sense of nagging.

"Never mind, it doesn't matter," Grace said. She grinned when she saw Grace's crooked smile. "How was your presentation?" Elan asked to look at Jerry.

"Good, as usual," Jerry said as he leaned in.

"Great job. At this rate, the company will be left to you completely," Elan said.

"Of course! How much time and effort has he made so far? That's more than enough," Grace persuade.

Jerry only chuckled in response to Grace's confident words. He believed that he deserved to be the leader of his father's company, because of his nearly consistently hard work.

Jerry came to the family home on his father's orders this morning. Unexpectedly, his father told him that the company he was in charge of was to be transferred to his brother.

"What?" Jerry stood up and stared at his father in disbelief.

"You don't deserve to lead my company. Your brother should have been my successor," says Anton, Jerry's father. He's the owner of the company he's been running.

"Dad, just let Jerry take over of your company. After all, he had fought hard to defend your company," Laurent, Jerry's brother.

"My mind is made up. Jerry doesn't have enough education to lead our company. Who would believe the words of such an uneducated person?" Anton's saree.

Jerry can only bow when his father says that. His father was right about him not having a good education. He's just in middle school. Whereas men his age should have graduated from the top level.

"My efforts are never enough for you. But, just because I'm not good at education doesn't mean I'm uneducated, Dad," Jerry says with red eyes.

After that, Jerry left without a word. Afterward, Jack was finally able to gain mastery over his anger. Jerry carries the pain himself. At the moment, he's already in his room.
