Devon's eyes twitched when he saw the woman who had just appeared, and he couldn't help but tighten his grip on the chair on which he was seating.
"Tessa?!" As Devon muttered that name, his body shook, and regardless of how much he tried to control his emotion, he simply wasn't. And without realizing it, Devon stood from the chair staring at the woman far ahead.
Gus, who was beside Devon, raised an eyebrow when he saw how Devon reacted when that woman showed up. For someone who treated numerous things as trivial, Gus was certain that this woman meant a lot to Devon, or else there's no way he would act that way when he saw her.
"I see, so she is that Tessa girl?" Gus mumbled in a low voice.
Devon's hands were clenched into a tight fist and longing, affection, and a tinge of hate could be seen on his face at the same time. He resented this woman for hiding herself from him all this while, making him assume that she was dead.
