Alexia sneered when she saw the expression on Devon's face when she said that they would have to cooperate if they wanted to save Tessa.
"Just like you, Tessa is someone very dear to me. If I had someone else to turn to, I wouldn't even bother coming to you for help." She said.
Devon, however, continued to glare at her, "How do I know that I can trust you. Because I'm certain that apart from the day I saw you in Gabriel's house, we have never met and yet, you seem to have an intense hatred for me."
"You don't have any other choice than to trust me on this. It's not like we are going to be friends after this, once Tessa is saved, that's all. I don't want to have anything to do with you ever again." Alexia exclaimed.
Devon remained silent after Alexia spoke. He was contemplating on whether to work with this mysterious woman or not. From what he was seeing, she indeed cared deeply about Tessa and as for her hatred for him, that was of little concern to him.
