ROSE P.O.V.
"Angel," said Adrien, he was lost in his thoughts. His intent gaze was inquisitive, his eyebrows raised in a silent question.
"Adrien, I just wanted to take a walk, I wasn't feeling well…" my lie wasn't that good but he seemed to be buying it. He scratched his forehead and asked, "Did you eat something?"
"Yeah, don't worry now. Go to your tent and sleep!" I insisted, and one last time gazed at the back but there was no sign of Lorenzo anywhere.
"No, I was planning on sleeping in your tent," Adrien smirked at me, I rolled my eyes and got inside my tent where my friends were already asleep peacefully. Tip-toeing I layed on the space in the corner, I could still inhale Lorenzo's intoxicating smell on me. I touched my locket and I could feel the power radiating from it which relaxes me in an unfamiliar way but the ache in my heart- no one but only him could heal.
Next evening
Today was the most tiring day ever, most of the time was spent trekking over the mountain, we went all above the mountain and now we were on the top, my legs were sore- the muscles in my leg were contracting painfully and my body just gave up. I couldn't even walk anymore in me.
"Adrien, I cannot walk anymore." I rubbed my legs and stared upon the orange evening with a perfect shade of yellow on it, the sky was a marvelous painting, our creator indeed is an artist.
"Are you asking me to carry you to the tent?" Adrien laughed looking at me, I smacked his arm and tried to walk but my legs weren't replying to me.
"Shut up! It's just that my legs hurt.." this was the last thing that I said when I was carried in Adrien's protective arms.
"Adrien!! Put me down!" The students around us started whistling and not to forget to mention the smug look on Grace's face.
"Don't yell! I'll just leave you in the tent, that's it. It's not a big deal."
Adrien and I kept bickering at each other until we reached the tent, people kept gawking at us and I didn't have any option left but to glare at Adrien. Once I was on the ground my feet hurt so much that I fell onto the ground with the pain in my head, I couldn't even look clearly. The last thing that I saw was Adrien's concerned face.
______________
"She has become weak Adrien because I think... it's time." The voice wasn't very clear but it was Renee, maybe.
"It's too early.. she doesn't even know anything.." it was a sad Adrien.
I tried opening my eyes but my body ached a lot, slowly my eyes flew open and in front of me were three concerned faces of Adrien, Renee, and Violet. We weren't at the campsite anymore, this place was familiar... I've been here before.
"She's up." Grace cleared her throat and informed everyone.
"Umm...can someone tell me what's happening with me?" I asked my voice barely coming out from my throat, their faces were empty of emotions, they just stared at each other.
"I will tell you everything when you'll be alright," Grace stated and I nodded in return. They all gave me a sympathetic smile which wasn't reaching their eyes which made me more curious about myself. Lorenzo's words that I wasn't a human came to my mind, I wonder where he is now… I wish he was here.
When my eyes landed on the pooh kept on the bed, I smiled and that confirmed, that I was at Renee's apartment.
"I would have died to see that smile." commented cheesy Adrien.
"I still haven't forgiven you."
"Awh, what can I do to be forgiven by my Queen?" he said in a playful tone.
